I knew the knot. But the versatility of the knot you have shown is amazing. Thanks .

Thanks for the examples! Sometimes I can manage to learn the knot but never know when to use it 👏

Great knot, very simple to learn too and very nicely explained in the video. Thx

Great video, very clear and shows what the knot can actually be used for. Think I saw the same knot on another video, but the way to tie and loosen it was not nearly as clear.

Yes, recently, this knot has gone viral, and some creators have started inventing names for it without knowing the history of the knot and its capabilities

The problem with this knot is that it is incredibly difficult to release when tightened around a soft surface. Like in the thumbnail, if the knot were as tight as the zip tie it is almost impossible to get your fingers underneath the rope to release the tension. Try getting your fingers and fingernails underneath the knot on that bottle for example. Also using this as handcuffs could be very dangerous for the same reason. This is still a really great knot, just know this limitation.

Perhaps slipping the free ends underneath the main loop before tension would solve the problem with this knot by giving you a way to pull on the loop.

I'm working on that right now. Actually, there are TWO quick-release options. The simple one (with weaker tension locking) and the advanced one... Tutorial coming soon.

As for handcuffs, the knot doesn't lock the tension at all because there are different angles of approach by the strands. As seen in the tutorial, it's necessary to tie additional knots.

You don’t have to get your finger… or anything else under! You can simply pull the bight to one side.

You could tie a string to each leg. Then you can tighten it as much as you want.

I've used this knot many times for temporary zip ties, im an electrician so bundling wires sometimes wastes a lot of ties and they are not cheap if you buy goid ones. Thank you

Idk I feel like for tarp tentioning sustem a Trucker's hitch would be more efficient in terms of rope length needed. For joining two poles I'd use Constrictor because I feel like it's stronger

Yes, I agree, but why not know this one too..

@@CreationsByS no I mean this knot is one of the most important to know in my opinion, equally as valuable as Trucker's Hitch and a Constrictor. It's just that for those two specific applications in those specific examples I wanted to make a note.
