Most podcasts I just listen to. But this one I always watch, it's just such a joy to see Bennetts smile and sparkly eyes whenever he starts talking about a scam or ponzi collapsing :D
HAHAHAHAHA Do Kwon's argument of "I can't find myself on Interpol's alert list, I'm not on the run" is the same Leonardo Cositorto used in Argentina when he was being chased by the authorities due to... well... his crypto ponzi scheme. Interpol's red alerts many times are used as communication between agencies and not publicly disclosed so criminals can't google themselves and say "oh, shoot, they're looking for meeee, noooow I've gotta hide" hahahaha I thought I wouldn't be hearing such a dim witted argument again. In case you haven't heard of Leonardo Cositorto, please, indulge yourselves and track down that story. It's amazing. Just a hint: they were printing it at will and saying their buyers it would be interchangable for 1 gram of gold. "1 Zoe Cash, 1 gram of gold, 1 Zoe Cash, 1 gram of gold" Leonardo recited in one of the gatherings of his cult.
@@CryptoCriticPod Now I want to know more! Have you got any source where I can start reading? Cositorto and "Generación Zoe", his umbrella company, was a high profile case here. It involved politicians, media personalities, and even a former supreme court jury who is on the run as their legal advisor. There are a few top collaborators on the run still, and a lot more who weren't even prosecuted AND THEY HAVE FOUNDED THEIR OWN PONZI SCHHEMES (cc Matias Notaro). It's amazing. Most of the best pieces of journalism written on Zoe are in Spanish, I can help if you have some doubts. You just bring 5 friends and you get a 120% leverage hahaha
re-listening to this one and you guys really nailed it with do kwon. caught crossing the border, in 6-8 months. however, i don't think "fake costa rican passport" was on anyone's bingo card 😂
Ronnie Biggs of the Great Train Robbery eventually returned from Rio to do jail time in the UK. On a different note, I see Cas is participating here from inside a sauna without breaking a sweat.
I almost commented, liked and subscribed but when you said that you are not trying to help this poor man then i just decided to not follow any of those instructions.
Friday, November 24, 2023 Do Kwon was extradited to South Korea by the East-European country of Montenegro (in the Balkans, across the Adriatic Sea from Italy) when he tried to cross their borders on a forged passport. His native country South Korea had revoked his actual passport and had a warrant standing out for his arrest. The U.S. have charged Kwon as well - with eight criminal counts, including securities, commodities and wire fraud. Besides that he also faces civil charges from the Securities and Exchange Commission in the U.S. for arranging a cryptocurrency fraud that resulted in billions of Dollars in losses. (FT)
Leaving home, wife and kid(s) to go on the run, hiding away in an unknown, most likely foreign country, preferably one without extradition agreement, that kind of seems like an informal admission of guilt all by itself. If someone like Do Kwon REALLY believed he were innocent, he would not fear prosecution, and would not feel the need to flee. It seems the only reason for giving up a luxurious life(style) all of a sudden, only to end up in primitive circumstances without even any communication with home can be trying to escape justice.
Heartbroken you backtracked on your defence fund scheme, poor Do Kwon has been through so much and now this too. You guys should be the ones tracked by interpol.... this is just a joke however I really enjoy this podcast and hearing the frustration and bemusement in regards to these scenarios.
Is there another episode : what was the back to back thing you were talking about? I don't think DK can get any plea deal agreements with the government, they are stricter with financial crime than the US due to "recent" corruption scandals. Unlike him Zhu Su probably will give up all his money to live the rest of his life in prison but his problem is that being very very brief.
Being on the run is not a glamorous lifestyle. It's lonely and depressing and it never lasts. Great show. Keep up the good work guys.

16:35 That face mixed with those words, best moment of the podcast so far.
Excelent episode guys, must be tough filming back-to-back, but this content was worth it!
Thanks Domingo! And it’s not that hard in the grand scheme of things, just talking into a microphone
you guys need thousands more subscribers for the content you provide
People don't buy crypto assets based on valuations, just hopium. Great episode.
Thank you!

Oh wow that sounds like the M1 cult I wrote about, but that mostly operates out of Asia

Cas tempted fate by saying Su Zhu and Kyle Davies shut up
This makes working outside in the rain on the weekend a little more bearable
Glad we could help!

Why are you defending Do Kwon? Very odd.
Did you see where it says “this is just a joke”?
