- Moving to Thailand or uprooting your life in any instance is of course a big commitment. I frequently get asked on how I made the move to Thailand, or how I started TH-cam or what people should do to be successful in either endeavor. Of course, I'm not an expert in either. But throughout my journey moving to Thailand, as well as in many other instances I've learned a few things about how to set yourself up to get some of the things you want, or at least how to set yourself on the path towards them. Thailand was my first destination on my world trip of expatriation exploration. Nowhere else I have been even comes close to Thailand. I have about 4 more countries to checkout, currently in Costa Rica, but I honestly don't feel anywhere else can hold a candle to Thailand so far. Panama might be the only place that is even close, but we shall see. Counting the days until my return to the land of smiles, keep up the good work!

Reminded me of when I cleared all my contacts out of my phone a few years back. I figured if they care, they will reach out and I’ll get their numbers again. Found out I was watering a LOT of dead plants. Now I’ve got 4 real ones. The easiest way to figure out if someone is a real friend or not is, ask them to pick you up at 1am Monday from the airport. You’ll find out real quick who cares and who doesn’t

I found the best way to commit to something was to tell the few people that are very important to me that I am going to do it. Then it is embarrassing if I don't see it through. That ups the ante a bit. I knew that if I told them I was going, it would be enough motivation to overcome my limited fears. I had to 'save face' to the few people who would easily have forgiven me had I failed. But in my head, I wanted to show them that I wasn't full of shit haha.
My budget is 2k, is yours more or less than that? Im worried about that!
You can live very well on 1200-1500/mo here. VERY well.
