In the mechanized city of Liverpool, a Japanese student and his beautiful female machine doll enter the most prestigious machinart academy in the world. It's 2024 now. A decade. Still waiting for season 2..

So I was not the only one waiting for season 2.
It always impressed me how different is Hitomi Haradas singing voice compared to the one she normally uses to voice her characters. For whose unaware she voiced the main heroine in the series.

This series could end up having 4 seasons , if it wanted to .
But then their gonna have to make more ideas the only reason it stoped is because they had no ideas
The novel has plan of Arc available . That have so much they can do a season 2
Saiyan Goku exactly you can even tell just by watching the opening even when i found out who the dude was i was like uh arent they supposed to have a full-scale battle i know openings dont show hats actually gonna happen in an anime but they give hints

+Saiyan Goku (naruxxsaku20) they will. The dub was done very recently at the consent of the creators. They seem to be doing what SAO did, stay quiet about season 2 until the first one was dubbed.

Sounds like that's a kind of a judging a book by it's cover description. It's got steampunk elements in it and combines machines and magic, aka Mechanart. I think this is a very interesting concept and it works very well so far.

The anime did poorly in Japan. It was so bad actually that the OVA was never made. That's why it ends on a cliff hanger.

My guess for animes like this for not making a season 2 is probably because they want people to see what the story is about and then read the light novel or manga as some kind of surprise because some light novels and manga tend to have allot of info that is never seen in the anime.
Its because making anime isnt an art, its business. Anime serves as promotion for the original source material, and even if the Anime was well written, well directed, amazing animation and just the perfect anime all around, as long as the sales in the source material doesnt increase, they wont make a new season

wow, i'm shocked no one is complaining how the CGI killed it for them. you see them alot nowadays. i'm all for hand drawn like neon genesis, cowboy bebop and infinite rivius but damn,do they not realize even the characters are mostly animated with help from computers now? its more a question of budget and style from that point.
I don't understand why they don't do more seasons unbreakable machine doll is such a good anime and was in the top 100 at the time.

It’s a shame this’ll probably never get a second season.... but you got the light novels to go off of. Right now, 8 of 16 + 1 volumes have been translated to English and Volume 9 is on its way.

I live in Taiwan and we have official publications here
Lucky you. I managed to find the light novel from vol 1 to vol 4 in English. (It took me hours to find it) There was a place where all volumes were uploaded, but unfortunately it's in Japanese. I tried finding a forums for the light novel, but there were few and they weren't discussions about the light novel, but just giving an overall opinion.
I also want to read the light novel, because I was curious how the whole thing ends plus I also want to write a fanfiction on this anime. A fic that revolves around an OC I created and one Magnus x reader, (the second one if it was possible as I don't plan to base it from the anime which was rushed, but from the light novels)
