Hate to say this but…..in the US, most zoos/attractions will LOCKDOWN the entire place for a lost child. And soon after, the local PD is called. These places shut down everything, basically becoming Fort Knox (the gold holding place). It’s taken to extreme levels to find. That. Kid.

Even worse, that’s NOT the only antiquated belief that people like the MIL hold onto; people like her also believe that the MIL is the queen of the household and that her word is law; that the husband had complete dominion over the household and is king of the House; and that the wife should shut up, cook and be a maid/servants to their husbands; that only male children are useful and girls are useless; that the husband is always right and the wife is always wrong; and that children are nothing but tools and pawns to be used by their parents, and God knows what else!🙄😩
Some people are so stupid they think the earth is flat in THIS day and age SO yes there are people stupid enough to believe that the female determines the gender of the baby.
Lulu soon met a man named Wakka, who loved her and Sofia as if they were his reasons for breathing. They soon married, and had a son named Chappu. Auron lost contact with his two best friends, Braska and Jecht, and with them, his godchildren, Tidus and Yuna. They stayed in contact with Lulu though, their children growing up the best of friends.

My mother scarred my face too (as she slapped me) and it wasn't until yeeears later that I realised that seeing those scars probably reminded her of what she had done; I wasn't a bad kid, she was a bad parent and those scars proved it....gigglesnort years of self medication and therapy led to that epiphany

You cannot give a baby born male ovaries and a uterus and fallopian tubes using plastic surgery. Just not possible. Only superficial changes can be made using plastic surgery. And only on adults. I agree with Greta, it makes me want to vomit that people do that to babies.
If adults choose a sex change, that is different because they are adults when they make the choice (research Kinsey study on sex and gender). However, absolutely no way doing this to babies. Allow them to grow up and make their own choices.
There is a city in CA named Watsonville. It was named after its founder, a man named Watson, who after he died, at a fairly old age, was discovered to be a woman living as a man. There are people like that. Have always been. But they have made the choice as grown up adults.

Exactly how did MIL control the gender of HER kid? Also they don’t trans people because the parent wants it. There HAVE been sexual reassignment in cases of mutilation or physical reasons like hermaphroditism. Example during a circumcision by a rabbi there was an accident and a boy’s penis got gangrene and he lost it. So they made him female. There is still controversy as to what they should have done but this was years ago so their options were limited.
Even though Greta didn’t NEED the money, I would have insisted on the child support out of principle.

It depends on the country. Everyone has different levels of care and intervention when a child is being abused or suspected of abuse. In countries like Japan being an orphan is a social stigma for the child. Same for single parents. If the other members of the family don’t rescue them it doesn’t reflect on the family but a shame that is carried by the child. China and South Korea too. I am not sure about India. However in India wife abuse and girls and boys being SA is something that they have issues with. No place is perfect or have the safety nets that are apart of government. It’s kept to family level.

Unlike in the US they have no legal obligation to report abuse. Hell, NOBODY reports abuse in Japan. Not even the victim. Neither the police nor the courts in Japan will interfere in "family matters". It's a disgrace.

Speaking of people being stupid regarding biology. I once had to deal with an entire family that believed that a baby was born positive for drugs because the FATHER was on drugs. In case anybody here doesn't know, a fetus has their blood system connected to the mother's. So when a baby is born with drugs in their blood it is because the drugs were in the mother's blood. But this entire family tried to convince the medical staff that the mom wasn't on drugs that it was the dad's fault. Craziest thing is they wouldn't believe the doctors when they told them how things worked.
So if the mother have played her cards right and waited 30 60 90 plus days and had been going to church and doing volunteer work and been consistent with it her daughter would have asked her to move in with her

A: it should be consensual for at least the person in question.
