This most ravishing duet is beautifully done, but the weakness is that there is hardly any contrast at all between the voices. There should ideally be a distinct difference in timbre.
There is a definite difference! The brunette has a slightly richer tone,or timbre. Not as dramatic a difference, perhaps, as it should have been, but enough. Subtle, but absolute.
@@greatmomentsofopera7170 Do you mean Mozart's singers Adrana Ferrarese and Louise Villeneuve? Where did you find that information? (Well, in our time Cecilia Bartoli has done them both as well as Despina...)
This feat strikes me as practically impossible, considering the closeness between the parts. It could only be done with a good time separation, and only one role per period, no changing back and forth!
such sublime singing! what a wonderful cast! This is my favorite version of this opera. Such a a sublime redition
Anke Vondung on Dorabella ! What a wonderful singer ! I know this wonderful production by heart !!!!

I prefer this too, though it's worth remembering that the original singers took turns on alternate nights with Dorabella and Fiordiligi.
@Nicholas Ennos sorry but you clearly have not been to many operas

Une mise qui enfin a du sens; interprétation au poil;
V nice. NB: Ine hasn’t lived until one has heard this duo w Teresa Berganza! Takes your breath away!
WHY?!?! The Lyrics Stopped Halfway THru!?!
It’s because they’re repeating the words.
Those people who laugh during great music are missing the music. They are not moved by the music.
Buddy, it's a romcom. If you just listen to it in stony silence then you're not enjoying it the way Mozart wanted.

A recent survey showed that 50ish percent of that noise is actually people taking the opportunity to trump.
1:23 super queer
Two sisters!
You must not be familiar with this opera! Or perhaps you are simply homophobic looking for something to be unpleasant about.
This is so sexually charged it seems they actually want to hook up with one another. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
the best non-porn lez love scene >I< have ever seen!
They're sisters.. Unless you think that incest plays a crucial part in "Cosi".
Opera is so silly.
Warum bloss müssen diese unnötigen englischen Untertitel sein. Jeder Opernfreund versteht doch mindestens etwas Italienisch.
