They understandably adored Elvis . You can see the crushing heartbreak in their eyes and hear it in their voices. They’ been interviewed several times over the years and always without ulterior motives. They have a wonderful TH-cam channel dedicated to their loving memories of Elvis and obviously think about and miss him everyday. Elvis was twelve years older than Billy so he grew up with Elvis. When you are family and you just spent time with Elvis it's hard to believe that a few hours later that person is gone. Especially Elvis because they all lived his life and they loved each other. Hi Karen, my name is Melanie and I live in Canada. I was 9 when Elvis passed away and I've loved him since I was 6. I've always wanted to go to Graceland and Tupelo but never had the money. I finally got to go last August for the 42nd anniversary of his death. I did the candle light vigil and it was beautiful. I did find that the complex there was so commercial and impersonal. I don't think Elvis would approve at all. I went to Tupelo the next day and it was incredible.! The fountains and statues and the little house and Church. We were there for hours . It was so beautiful, respectful, and well, calming(for lack of a better word) I believe Elvis would LOVE it! I also went to a resteraunt(called Johnney's I think) where Elvis ate sometimes. I really Loved Mississippi and it literally hurt to leave. I wish to move there someday. And oh, I met Billy, Jo, Danny and Joey and what truly wonderful people they are. Kind, sweet and down to earth just like Elvis. I wishI could thank the Mayor and the people of Tupelo for having such a respectful memorial for Elvis.

Elvis' cousin Bobby Mann was given a special camera by the Enquirer and he took the picture of EP in the coffin for 18K. Mann had been unwelcome at Graceland for years because he failed a trust test Elvis conducted. What is wrong with drying his hair?....that is usually what is done after it is washed. His hairdresser Gellar, who usually did that was not there apparently....he had just come back in to the fold. I am surprised that Elvis did not ask him to wash it too; I thought he said in another interview that EP asked him to wash and dry it. I can not say i feel little better with pills, because Social security thinks i am better. My foodstamps and Medicaid is tied with this pending Social security case. 😧😣 Pills barley works for bending, lifting, walking, standing, setting, and for long terms. 😧 If i say anything is a little better i lose insurance , foodstamps, and i get suicidal and anxiety from the chronic pain. 😔😧 This makes me treat others sometimes like shit , because they don't understand what i am going through. 😔 Only meditation and trust in the universe can help. But it takes time for memory cells to reprogram it self. 😊 Negative thinking don't help it. I wrestle with this, because of my SSI case and Narcessists doctors. 😡 So i am in a conflited situation in my life. Fear of losing it all and being homeless. 😧 Look ! I am living with a roommate , sharing everything with him, my pills cause more then he makes, my 200 dollar foodstamps help him feed me, and he pays for my transportation to doctors appointments. Elvis was twelve years older than Billy so he grew up with Elvis. When you are family and you just spent time with Elvis it's hard to believe that a few hours later that person is gone. Especially Elvis because they all lived his life and they loved each other. Hi Karen, my name is Melanie and I live in Canada. I was 9 when Elvis passed away and I've loved him since I was 6. I've always wanted to go to Graceland and Tupelo but never had the money. I finally got to go last August for the 42nd anniversary of his death. I did the candle light vigil and it was beautiful. I did find that the complex there was so commercial and impersonal. I don't think Elvis would approve at all. I went to Tupelo the next day and it was incredible.! The fountains and statues and the little house and Church. We were there for hours . It was so beautiful, respectful, and well, calming(for lack of a better word) I believe Elvis would LOVE it! I also went to a resteraunt(called Johnney's I think) where Elvis ate sometimes. I really Loved Mississippi and it literally hurt to leave. I wish to move there someday. And oh, I met Billy, Jo, Danny and Joey and what truly wonderful people they are. Kind, sweet and down to earth just like Elvis. I wishI could thank the Mayor and the people of Tupelo for having such a respectful memorial for Elvis.

Hi SouthernBelle, I agree Charlie seemed to be a good friend to Elvis, I met him and he was mainly a pretty nice guy, to be honest with you I think the ones who were his true friends are the ones who never wrote a book or did an interview about him which were few, one of those were Al Strada who I have respect for because he has a hard time with some of these people because of their capitalizing on knowing him and saying private things.

What is wrong with drying his hair?....that is usually what is done after it is washed. His hairdresser Gellar, who usually did that was not there apparently....he had just come back in to the fold. I am surprised that Elvis did not ask him to wash it too; I thought he said in another interview that EP asked him to wash and dry it. Elvis usually had everything done for him and he always wanted his girlfriends to fuss over him and wait on him. From what I have read...Ginger, his last girlfriend...did not do that so maybe that is why he asked Billy.

I absolutely love Elvis Presley, but I know addiction changes people-it makes them selfish,mean, and at times cruel to those they love the most. I ,also, know that what is going on inside the addict is hell on earth. We didn't talk about prescription addiction back then, there was no Betty Ford clinic, and Elvis had been hospitalized trying to detox. He had to be miserable, and responsible for so many people.
