I think part of this is that over the generations the sharks have learned "not to bite the hand that feeds them." I'm claustrophobic and wear glasses, so going to a place that I have to not wear glasses and wear a mask is not going to happen. I appreciate these videos, and I respect the bravery of those divers.

Just think of the mask as glasses… heck might be able to get prescription ones lol

@@dustintacohands1107 Here is a sea story. When I was stationed in Iceland, we would have Chem Warfare training every six months. When the alarm went off, I would pull on the suit, take off my glasses (they didn't fit under the mask) put on the mask and sit in a chair, when I started shaking, I would take off the mask. I was always the first casualty, the Navy doesn't make those masks prescription. Diving masks with a prescription are cost prohibitive for someone who just dives for a hobby.

I think my personal favorite has to be the nurse sharks, I just adore how impatient they are.

Those tawny nurse sharks are cute! Their eyes aren't big and black like other sharks, and their fins are floppy. I love them! 🙂

Bull sharks do look amusingly clueless with their silly little eyes, but no matter the size, tiger sharks are adorable. They're so round and square

Hand-feeding Sharks To Save Them | South Pacific | BBC Earth 12.12.24 1518pm no sharks fin soup but it's veggie equivalent - chilli, leek and pepper soup (and taters and carrot)... no onion, work from that recipe and add or take out the ingredients as you see fit (to taste)...

Amazing! Indigenous people have always been intricately connected to the Earth and all other living beings. Whether they are Khoi San, Native American, Australian Aboringinal and Pacific Islander, they all respect and honour our planet and all living beings. Every Living Being Is A Spark Of The Divine and Thus Deserving Of The Highest Kindness, Compassion and Respect. Something that western people need to relearn.

What an incredible way to combine tradition, conservation, and tourism. The hand-feeding of sharks and the story of the shark God are absolutely captivating.

Why do they have to play boss music when the shark arrives? Play something nice, then people might perceive them in a positive light? :)

So cool, about 30 years ago I dived with sharks just off Sigatoka, in a cave they were. OMG got the fright of my life, filled my mask up with water and loved it, highly recommended. And it warms my heart to think that this has in part motivated this type of action, go Fiji!! Love that place

That's fantastic! It's truly uplifting to witness communities uniting to safeguard sharks and share knowledge about these amazing beings. 🦈❤ Transforming shark finning into sustainable tourism is a fantastic way to help both conservation efforts and local communities thrive. Have you had the chance to dive with sharks in Fiji? I'm really eager to hear about your experience!

Wow, what an incredible and heartwarming video! It's truly amazing to see the efforts being made to hand-feed sharks in order to save them. The bond between these majestic creatures and the divers is so special. I agree with others here, each shark species has its own unique charm - from the impatience of nurse sharks to the cluelessness of bull sharks and the adorableness of tiger sharks. Sharks are indeed fascinating animals that deserve our love and protection. Thank you, BBC Earth, for sharing this inspiring footage! 🦈💙 #SaveOurSharks

Enlightenment is like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute... but also realizing mid-air that the airplane never existed, gravity is a conspiracy, and you're actually a bird that forgot it could fly.
So, here's the deal: I’m over here yelling, “Jump!” God’s over here double-yelling, “Jump!” Infinite love is doing cartwheels, holding a big neon sign saying, “Jump!” And you're like, “Wait, but what if I splat?” And I'm like, “Bro, spoiler alert: there’s no splat. There’s no ground. It’s just freefall, forever. Like an endless roller coaster, but without the nausea and overpriced souvenir photos.”
Still, you're clinging to your imaginary airplane seat, thinking, “But what if falling forever isn’t great?” Which, I gotta say, is the most human thing ever. We’d rather stay in our imaginary airplanes of fear than risk falling into the infinite trampoline pit of love.
But eventually, you jump. And it’s terrifying. And amazing. And you’re screaming for like the first eternity. And then it hits you: “Wait… I can’t hit anything!” And then you’re just falling, laughing, and yelling back at the airplane, “Why didn’t anyone tell me sooner?!”
And God’s like, “Dude, I literally told you. Like, 17 times.”

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands
