The first song "Han" could be and should be an OST for a Historical Drama, any east asian drama atleast because the vibe fits that theme.
And it somehow reminds me of BTOB's Lee Minhyuk(Huta)'s song titled "Falling Blossoms" in a way. Maybe not the composition and message but concept and also variety of genre cuz not every Kpop group can pull off this type of concept let alone envisioning it, and the fact the artists themselves are involved in the writing process is really an indication that they are beyond norms and prejudices.

Now I can see why they rerecorded the album 4 times....this album is literally so perfect I’m in TEARS! No other kpop album or group has made me feel this way, and I’ve been an avid fan since 2012. All of their vocal colors and textures are so interesting, and I LOVE how they’re not afraid to play around with them to this extent. They are the pioneers of this generation and NO ONE can change my mind

Same I have been army for 3 years now, carat for almost a year and got into gidle in nxde era and I love the fact that all of these groups participate in songwriting and producing.

Not really. It uses native Korean beats in a dramatic sense. This has more of a movie ending theme. Its baseline theme is historic Korean tragedy. Especially with the fairy-like "la la la". Also, literally anything can fit into such things are there are no exclusions or exceptions.

gidle bsides are seriously underrated like I personally even love them more than their title tracks 😭😭 they have the best vocals in 4th gen
Why this album is so good and unique? These girls do it all themselves and put a lot of effort in their craft. I know cube tries to manufacture them but they still know how to play the game in their favor. G-IDLE is the biggest act Cube has and is all a group of rebels.
The chorus for Dahlia gives me chills EVERY SINGLE TIME.

@@abhinavrc171 im sorry for saying this but first of all, Minnie is my bias so ofc I would praise her even though I am an OT6. Then, tbh for real, I think Miyeon’s voice didnt suit Gidle’s song. Her voice are so powerful that sometimes it didn’t goes well with the song meanwhile Minnie can adjust her voice according to any genre. And here I’m not comparing both of them. For sure both of them were good that they are our Main Vocal. But I really really really love Miyeon’s voice in Dumdi Dumdi because the chorus suit her very well. So in my opinion, I think Miyeon’s voice suit upbeat song and more cheerful song. Furthermore I think Knetz love Miyeon and she is not underrated or under appreciated at all. Sorry if this sounds harsh but this is just my opinion and I love Miyeon too :)

It's really cool how g idle used Chinese characters in the first two song titles which gives it more of an ancient and mystical aura. The Chinese character for han normally describes a cold and frosty weather, and the characters for hwaa means fire flower in Chinese. This album is just so perfectly cultivated ❤️❤️

I have to say that this WHOLE album is amazing, though I'm honestly so in love with "Lost", the vibes are amazing, the breathy singing feels ethereal and the melody is really catchy.

Full disclosure: I stan Oh My Girl, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate other groups (Izone, Twice, Loona). (G)I-DLE didn't come on my radar until New Years Day, and I had definitely been sleeping! This album shows what happens when you give really talented people full creative control. Several things appeal to me about this group. It seems the excellent group leadership is more concerned with producing a beautifully balanced work of art then they are with selfish self- promotion. As a newcomer watching their performances, Soyeon, Minnie & Yuqi seem very unselfish and considering how extremely difficult song writing & production is, it's amazing the videos are as balanced as they are. Regarding this silly obsessive preoccupation with line distribution, I would say that with ANY group endeavor, some get more & some get less. If someone gets less in this one, odds are they'll get more in the next. As they say in NYC, "Not-for-nuthin, it is what it is." Of course there'll probably always be someone that would criticize Leonardo Da Vinci for not using exactly equal amounts of 6 colors when painting the "Mona Lisa." I'm happy for NEVERLAND, a supportive & appreciative fanbase, that can recognize a beautiful work of art when they see & hear it.

Yuqi was phenomenal aswell, more than ever, Soojin and Soyeon stood out in HWAA aswell, and when Shuhua with her limited lines is perfect too.
