    I’m an aldi shopper but I find it so expressive now that I’m considering shopping somewhere else. The cost of living is ridiculous. Of course your going to shop at Sainsbury’s if you get a staff discount, it’s a no brainer. I went to buy my favourite coffee & it’s gone up by £1!! I was gobsmacked.

    I shop with tesco and with my club card offers I’m saving so much. You reap the rewards if you shop there every week plus the online service is great. Subs are fab too. I don’t blame you with Sainsbury’s if you have the reward card, I do love the Tu range in Sainsbury’s x

    I am a sainsburys and Aldi shopper…. I don’t have a discount card and honestly I much prefer Sainsburys. I agree they are so competitive. I think fruit and veg last much longer than Aldi and I do shop in the cheaper ranges where I can. I don’t know how I do it but when I do a Aldi weekly shop I always spend more than a weekly shop in Sainsburys 🤷‍♀️ plus Sainsburys you get your nectar points which is always a bonus 👍
    Great haul as always

    Two yrs ago i bought a chest freezer from Currys that is operable down to -15. So it happily lives in my shed for bulk buying and lots of bread. Best thing i ever did. As long as u keep it as
    full as u can it doesnt cost much on the electric. So when i hit a hard patch, i make sure i keep it topped up with bread, frozen chips etc. But with so many people i doubt you would have that problem x

    I cannot fault Sainsburys, its been the cheapest by farin comparison with Asda Tesco Aldi Lidl and Morrisons .. and i religously shopped at Asda for years. Like you I used to think Sainsburys was over priced and a posh supermarket... but I am more than happy to tell people how reasonable Sainsburys is now !!

    I do Aldi - but its mainly as its 0.1 mile from my house so its my corner shop. I must save a fortune in petrol compared to driving to a bigger alternative supermarket. Couldn't tell you where our nearest Sainsburys is but I do like it when we're on holiday.

    I always shop at Tesco or Sainsburys, have a tesco club card so save a fair bit with that. I also have a large family and didn't get on at all with Aldi or Lidls. The shopping itself was stressful and rushed with people not giving you a second to stop and look, I also didn't save anything money wise and quite a few of the items tasted awful! The mince was horrible...definitely stick to what suits you and your family best :) it's costly times right now regardless...my shopping is at the 190-200 mark a week! Crazy xxxx

    • @lifeofthebaldwins
      @lifeofthebaldwins  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what I dislike about Aldi, parking is often a nightmare so I'm already stressed before I get through the front door, and then it's very rushed.

    Hello from the east coast of the USA! Enjoy your grocery hauls so much. With prices going up so much here as well it’s crazy. Grocery shopped today and eggs were $7.99 a dozen. It’s just my hubby and I as kids are all on their own. Not easy for them either even with college educations and loads of student loans. Our son looking at an apartment in Connecticut that’s 500 square feet and costs over $2000 per month! Keep posting and sharing🙂

    Just heard your part about aldi.. I done my weekly shopping there today and spent more than what I did last week in sainbruys for the same kinda stuff and still had to go to sainbruys to get the things I couldn’t in aldi.. so team sainbruys ❤

    I'm a single person, and think Sainsbury's is brilliant. Cannot complain about the quality, and the prices are really reasonable. Sainsbury's price match a lot of their items with Aldi, so Aldi isn't necessarily cheaper. The cheapest supermarket will depend on what people buy on a regular basis. But one thing they all have in common, is that none of the supermarkets are really that cheap anymore, sadly.

    • @dylanbrownie
      @dylanbrownie ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also find Aldi (and Lidl to a lesser extent) too stressful when doing my shopping. Always so busy, and never have everything I need, so I end up having to go to Sainsbury's or Asda anyway. I am happy to pay a few pence more for some items if it means I only have to go to one supermarket. One other thing is that Sainsbury's seems to ride out food shortages (eggs, peppers, cucumber, etc) better than the other supermarkets, at least my nearest big one anyway. I'm also quite conscious about packaging, plastic waste, etc. and Aldi are not great for buying loose fruit/veg, whereas Sainsbury's has loads of loose fruit/veg options.

    I live in the US and food is so high it's damn criminal to charge so much. The fresh fruits and veg are crazy and you have to really check them because they are going bad within a couple days. We are all doing the best we can at the moment trying to feed our families. It does not matter where you shop. People are just rude don't read their comments, it's petty of them to even have a fit over a grocery store. I love ur hails

    I tend to shop at different stores for different things and find that M&S are good for vegetables and fruit as some things do actually tend to be the same price and better quality.
    Aldi is good for convenience foods and toiletries and Sainsburys is good for their basics and special offers.
    I don’t buy meat as I’m vegetarian so can’t compare that but I think you might find Heron foods good or Costco if you have one near you because they sell a lot of things in bulk for bigger families 😊👍 X

We now pay £4 a month for off peak unlimited Tesco deliveries over £40. It’s probably the best £4 we spend. Save loads avoiding impulse buys. Off peak means evenings which is ideal for us anyway.
