Thank you so much.... Love my 900... I've used harmonizers for 25 years... The quality is so good on this... Very Cool!!!!!
Thanks, great demo? Just what I needed to know. Is this multiple harmony that is tied to the key press the same thing that Jacob Collier actually had an engineer make? This was after Quincy Jones took him under his wing. I know it’s esoteric info I’m asking but you seem very knowledgeable and experienced. Well I took a shot.
Do you happen to know if the yamaha Genos uses the exact same vocal harmony processor as the SX900?? Also, if using the SX900 for live performance, is it possible to use registrations to switch harmony on and off and change types of harmony, so you don't have to press many buttons during a song? Thank you for this video! You're right, there aren't many tutorials for the harmony feature.
I'm not that expertly on the vocal harmonizer to set up registration or check the possibilities. Working on getting there through demos. As far as I know the Genos2 has the same harmonizer, I just started a Genos2 video and I'll be going through the motions on that as well, including the harmonizer.
are the vocals like an audio tune pitch correction tool?
Yes and no. the harmonies are on pitch (comes from the keyboard) timbre comes from the lead vocal (which can be out of tune); however, if you turn the lead vocal to mix level -0- all the harmonies will be in pitch.
what kind of headset would you suggest for this instrument? the AT BPHS2?
I'd definitely get one, but it would need to teach me how to sing first. Sigh
not really, just make a sound through the mike, machine does the rest!!
The SX700 has no Vocal Harmony built in, only the SX900
Kia Ora from New Zealand, Im watching this as im helping someone who owns one of these so im just trying to learn everything i can about these absurdly powerful instrument!
