The world has been very crazy as of late. I'm hoping everyone is continuing to be safe and make good choices for the people around you as well as yourselves. It's okay to not be okay. We're in this together.
Persona 5 was a game that I primarily experienced through watching Adriana play, having played a little bit myself. It's been really great being able to take the experience in like that and really absorb the music and atmosphere with her. I've done so many tracks from the game and still have such a connection and desire to cover more and more. On the last two Royal covers, a lot of you have really wanted to hear this one and while I was curious how it would go, I'm really happy with the result.
My last cover I was using the Nolly DSP VST for rhythm guitars, which I really liked for that style, but for this I returned to my Axe FX III tone. I'm finding I like different things about both and have been really zeroing in on the things I like about guitar tone in general lately. With how much goes into a guitar tone, it's very tough getting a handle on it and it feels so overwhelming so it's nice to feel like I'm making strides.
Let me know what you think of the lead tone too as I primarily was in neck pickup position for this one to try out a more mellow feel. I think I like it a lot for vocal leads and shreddy stuff and am probably going to use it more often than I have in the past!

You could technically say that it's Keep Your Faith since it's instrumental, but I aimed for the feel of Throw Away Your Mask with this more along with using it's intro. Hope you still like what I did with it! The rhythm part was really fun on this one and I had too much fun coming up with a solo for this. Keep changing hearts out there!

Maruki is something truly special. Him and Kasumi elevated Royal far above vanilla P5 imo.
Maruki was such an incredible antagonist. At the end I legitimately felt so bad for him and couldn’t decide if I’d done the right thing.
Yeah. Probably my favorite villain alongside Sae and Akechi. I felt so sad that I had to fight him because he went from a councilor helping joker's friends help with their struggles to a villain who created an alternative reality where everyone can be happy.

I know I don't pay as much mind to guitar solos as I should, but I gotta tell ya, that solo was ALMIGHTY. The triplets(?) at 3:37 evoke a feeling of hope in the face of despair, unity in the face of finality. I'm probably overreading into it a bit, but then that's why music is so awesome. It's a language whose meaning can be discerned in those brief but undeniable moments of clarity. It just hits you and it's like BAM. You gotta HAVE IT. OK I'mashutupnow.

Spoiler man was such a chad he got like 4 songs all for himself. Along with the best boss fight I've ever seen in a turn based game.

Got any plans for Gentle Madman? That one could be a tough challenge, keeping the friendly, yet unnerving vibe. But man, the last palace sure did one heck of a job. Great antagonist(?), music, atmophere, story, fight. The only thing i didn't like was the puzzle later on... but that was probably due to me trying to get everything in there.
That's the thing. He's an antagonist only in the way that his ideals are distorted. He's a genuinely great guy... But his reality is a paradise. But it's too perfect. Which is why we have to fight him.
More of s tragic hero than an antagonist to be honest, even the bad ending was nice but it just felt wrong...

I was of the opinion P5(R) songs were already perfection as they were & there's nothing that could come close to them.

Persona 5 Royal is the best Persona game after this song alone lol but also everything else as well. Idc what anyone says man. It's also the best game of all time/RPG/JRPG imo.
