Forget telling him about Iron Man someone tell him that The Flash successfully ran 8 seasons that ended just before his movie came out. I think enough people cared about the character.
Yes people who cared about the CW Shows but as for general audiences the flash isn't as huge as batman or superman the show was good but wasn't watching by tons and tons of people who didn't follow TV shows like that hell the reason people got hyped and so did I for this film was because of Keaton coming back

What’s even crazier is that The Flash, despite being a bit more on the unknown end (relatively speaking), was still a more well-known character than Cap and Iron Man were back when their first movies came out (almost no one cared about them then). The TV series did wonders for Flash too. Meaning that he wasn’t even fighting an uphill battle, there was a legitimately large amount of people who KNEW who the character was. They just handled him poorly and made a ton of other bad decisions, especially keeping on Ezra. I am legit concerned with this guy directing Batman now, really not sure he knows what makes a good CBM tick.
Ahh, I see the director is taking a page from Disney and Kathleen Kennedy. Blaming the fans for YOUR movies short comings. The Flash is an integral part of the DC universe. We the fans realize this and have much love for the character. Stating that we didn’t care enough is just a slap in the face of fans.
The director should be blaming ezra Miller. The moment Miller started doing bad things, is the moment I chose to not spend money on the dceu flash aka the flush.
Reasons why flash failed: Ezra’s public personality, Ezra’s crimes, Snyder’s JL failure, DC/superhero movies downward momentum, Flash was already saturated with ~10 years of a tv show, the movie was mid, release delays, reviews out to early at the film festival… lots of things killed it.
Everything that went wrong with the Flash movie is both his fault and Warner Bros. He's blaming us and the Flash which is so immature for a seasoned Director. It wasn't just a Flash movie any way. It was DC's first Multiverse movie. For a long time WB were gonna use it to replace Batfleck and bring back Michael Keaton. By the time it finally came out WB really wanted to move on from the Snyderverse and James Gunn was already starting to buuld the DCU. The only thing James Gunn did that I didn't like in this movie was removing Michael Keaton from the ending for a Clooney gag. I would have loved the Keaton ending. It would have kept more hope that the Snyderverse could be returned to 1 day and would vastly preferred to have seen Clooney's Batman looking different and badass in the tribute to DC films and even films that never got madewith Nic Cage as Superman. That's my favourite moment in the movie. It's a celebration of DC He has the audacity to blame us and the Flash!!! But obviously doesn't have the responsibility to blame himself for its flaws nor WB. They wanted it to be the penultimate DCEU movie. I could understand blaming them. They weren't interested in letting this movie build towards anything else anymore, other than Aquaman 2. What a childish and uninformed thing to say
THE FLASH IS A PERFECT MULTIVERSE MOVIE I JUST WISH THE MOVIE WAS MORE MULTIVERSE HONOR EVERYTHING LIVE ACTION DC TV COMIC BOOK SHOWS HONOR EVERYTHING LIVE ACTION DC COMIC BOOK MOVIES AND GRANT GUSTIN BARRY ALLEN ACCIDENTALLY GETS TRAPPED IN THE DCEU WHILE TRYING TO GET TO HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER THAT LIVES IN THE ARROWVERSE.
They should have hired, better director and writers really… this movie had so much potential, but unfortunately WB just waste a lot of great potential for great DC Hero’s
Not sure if this is exactly what he said, but I didn't like his vision and direction with The Flash and how he handled Keaton's Batman. With that being said, I hope he doesn't direct The Brave and the Bold. And Armin.. LOL~ you need to chill 🤣

What has his facial hair got to do with it. Also, Armin fails to mention that Gunn thought The Flash was amazing, but he would die before having a go at his God.
This movie has its bad points and it gets tough to watch sometimes but it has a lot of heart. I was sick when it was in theaters, but I wanted to see it so bad, and I was very thankful when it came out on Netflix after I got better! The movie is better than people give it credit for but the director has no idea what he's talking about! He's going to find himself out of a job soon if he's not careful! Flash is one of the most-liked superheroes accross the whole country and he’s popular with all ages! This guy is completely clueless!
there two reason why the flash flop one it cause WB didn't believe us when we told them we won't watch the movies if amber heard and ezra miller was in their movie and guess what, both aquaman and the flash flop and remember WB said we was troll naw and second the movie suck, bad writes to the point where you can cleanly see most of the CGI wasn't even done, it like they rush this movie out
He's is sort of right about the flash. Alot of people don't care about the character. Nobody watch the CW show. That why Grant wasn't in the movie. It like Daredevil in No Way Home. Nobody recognize Matt at all.
I watched the movie when I was at home with the flu and for free (because I sure as hell wasn't going to pay to watch or in clear state of mind). Even doped up on meds, it felt like a cheap filler episode of the "Flash" CW series in the first season (you know, when they weren't sure what direction to take the show). Please tell me he is in charge of a episode of the cancelled "Brave and the Bold" series and not the actual movie.
This video is a really bad take on what he said. He didn't blame the audience. He said that no one cares about Flash. He is right honestly. You think the majority of people walking the sidewalk in Times Square give a shit about The Flash? They don't. If you doubt this, go down and ask as many people as you can. See how many people care. Maybe like 1 out of 200. Maybe. I doubt it. He's not blaming anyone. He's just stating facts. He's not mad. He's just being real.
And to further go on this. DC studios should only be making Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Justice League movies until they have a core audience. Then and only then should they even attempt smaller B or C level characters.
Regardless of who made the calls, it was a cruddy film, period. Why can't these people ever allow themselves to learn from their mistakes? That is what the successful ones do. In fact just plain well-adjusted people in regards to life, to put it even simpler in. Also, if you were to put your finger on one reason, Ezra Miller was a terrible choice. Especially since they decided to put him against Grant Gustin. There is a reason why so many fans fantasize about him assuming the role the next outing.
Let’s be real, The Director of Flash movie he’s completely wrong about Flash ⚡️. We love 💗 the character in the DC Comics and in the JL animated series. But the same cannot say about in the DCEU Flash for 3 Reasons: • The Storytelling 📖 and the writing ✍️ is absolutely a mess. • The problem with Ezra Miller • Bad Marketing • Horrible GCI / VFX - Unless we’re gonna get a DCU Reboot of the Flash in the future.
Lol dceu was tanked by Hamada, Geoff Johns and Toby emerick, James Gunn announced reboot and people didn't care anymore, Ezra Miller hit pieces were an issue though some of them were slightly fabricated or flat out false, unfinished CGI, stupid notes and changes by James Gunn to the film as well lol, plus the shift in who was in charge. Yeah many many problems. I honestly thought it was a decent movie but the show with a smaller budget was way better and not to mention didn't even have a Grant Gustin Cameo which was flat out stupid and disrespectful.
There was multiple problems outside of the film but I just have to say this who is better in the flash then secrets of Dumbledore where he was drunk off his ass Miller . I just Director though I think he’s talking about something. He doesn’t understand.
Sooo this is the guy that’s going to direct Batman the brave and the bold, huh ?? You know what because of what he just said, I will not watch his Batman movie. Screw him, he should be fired from his job.
Ok your clearly angry but this isn't what he means he is saying that people do not care about the flash as a character in the dceu for christ sake they had to sue keaton to gain interest
The Flash was my favorite superhero until I turned 9 and changed to Superman. I still love The Flash. I have all 9 seasons of The Flash from CW on DVD. I have the 90s Flash show on DVD. I have a Flash logo t shirt in my closet. The Flash is awesome. superhero. The CW made my dream come true in The Flash show where The Flash runs on lightning. I been waiting to see Flash running on lightning since I was a kid. I was hoping to see it in the DCAU movies, but The CW did it in season 8 of The Flash. Ezra Miller isn't a good actor, and flash movie sucked. Worst movie ever made
If yall didnt put micheal Keaton and race change supergirl and not take or use flashpoint and make this movie a flash movie that feels and look more standalone and if the dceu was more coherent we would have been interested to watch it

Honestly the director should blame himself and miller because it's stupid that your main actor is causing chaos and idiotic choices. I am still happy, I only saw reviews and deconstruction's on why the movie bombed.
I don't blame the audience for that. I blame the director & WB.
Look Andy didn't mean it like that cause its not really his full on film

The Flash is one of the original six for DC. He's huge.
If he truly felt that way then he should have turned down the directorial job when he was first offered the gig.
That’s ridiculous to believe that fans like you and me are to blame for The Flash being box office bomb
I love what he did with IT, but I'm highly concerned about what he'll do with Batman! 🤦♂️

After the way the flash turned out I'm surprised they would ever had hired him again
I blame the director and Warner Bros. for letting the Flash bomb.
This isn’t Andy’s full on fault the cgi sure but it’s miller and the reshoots that doomed it
The Flash is one of the coolest characters DC has to offer… this director and writer just didn’t pull it off and now he’s crying about it…

In the 90's almost every Avenger was D tier comics you could barely give them away, that made all the cringy costume changes.
I blame Zack Snyder Ezra Miller and WB. His miscasting WB urge to stick with the guy who is a literal criminal sunk this shit show

It failed because you had a problematic actor in the lead role.
