Thank you, I was gonna say 20+ years ago I didn’t even know what a Munro was but truth is 4 years ago I didn’t. Making up for lost (and wasted) time. Take care, Steven 🥾⛰️🏴🏴
What a great hike Steven and I for one appreciate that you left all the footage in, please don't apologise for that. I'm not one for heights and certainly not for too much exposure. I've decided a while ago to give Aonach Eagach ridge a miss. Would you be so kind to give your opinion on whether this one was of the same grade of difficulty. At the end of the day, there are bypass routes on many of these ridge walks. And there are alternative routes for bagging the Munros. The main point for me is to be safe and enjoy the hikes. ATB Karl from Denmark PS: Does the GoPro wide-angle lens make the ridge look narrower than it is in real life? PPS: I've watched Paul's video some time ago, but will watch it again. And Andy O's video from some years back was just suggested, so I'll watch that too.
Hi Karl, thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it. Without exception the AE and Liathach are more technically difficult which isn’t to say the Forcan is easy but it’s certainly less demanding. I think the GoPro lens is pretty accurate, I know the 360 degree really distorts and over dramatises but I would say what you saw on my video is a fair representation….i have my limitations too Karl, I’m a hillwalker not a mountaineer and the section towards the end with the almost vertical 10m descent was a no go for me tho I’d probably give it a go ascending 🤔😂 Take care mate, Steven 🥾⛰️🏴🏴
@@outofayrshire143 Hi Steven. Thanks for you thorough reply, much appreciated. One other question. As you know I hike with my dog Skye, a Golden Retriever. He's bagged the same hills as me except for one Corbett. I wouldn't bring him along on the ridge walk though, but do you think he would be okay to take up via the bypass route? Thanks again and you take care too.
@@karlejnarchI wouldn’t have any issues saying yes to my friend Stephen if it was max so I guess same answer….no technical difficulties that I can think of….im sure there a Munro group for dogs on facebook that would be better qualified to answer you tho…. Just heading to bed for a 2am rise, it’s pissing down and blowing a hoolie….I must be mad lol… take care 😊
Hi Steven mate. Absolutely brilliant mate, well done, what a ridge, looked very hairy at times but great fun nevertheless. I tell you what, at the ‘Fuck that shit’ moment, that is exactly what I would have been saying as well. 🤣🤣 She,em you didn’t get the views on the ridge, but at least you got them before and after. Thanks for taking us a long for the ride mate, I enjoyed every one of the 55 minutes. 😀 All the best mate Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴🏴
Thanks Dave, really appreciate that….as for the fk that shit…a good man knows his limitations and a coward even more so 😂 Kintail is a beautiful area with stunning views that I’ve seen many times now so all good, still got a couple to do up there so will definitely be back. Take care mate, Steven 😊🥾⛰️🏴🏴
Forgot to say. Loved the Party Political Party broadcast for the Scottish Outdoor Party……fair play mate. 😀👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
They genuinely don’t know what they’re missing, free travel anywhere in Scotland to everyone under 22 and they use it to go to McDonald’s….the younger ones anyway….tbh they hardly walk the length of themselves now….not one of the SNP’s greatest ideas….anyway I’ve done my bit 😂😂 take care 🥾⛰️🏴🏴
Great video mate, good effort. Just subscribed from a fellow TH-camr 😉👍
Great effort Steven ,what a day 😱
Many thanks and thanks for taking the time to comment. ATB Steven 🥾⛰️🏴🏴
Excellent film, lets me see what I did 20 plus years ago, without decent camera. Well done!
