    Seriously Luke, I don’t know if there is any other business owners out there that are as honest as you are. Love your work mate.

    I've had mine for a while and love it! Imperfections are part of the character and don't effect the performance or the life of the product. As long as you don't drop it on concrete, you'll be sweet!
    At $50 it's less than the excess baggage charge if you tried to bring one back with you from a holiday in Thailand.
    Keep innovating Team Drifta and bringing us great value products. Love your work!

    At $50 you don't need to justify the business expense to me. Its a great product at a keen price point. Mr Bucc had already sold me on this bit of kit.

    I’ve used one of these for 5 years or so. I love them. Just be patient with the charcoal ie let it burn down a bit. They are very economical with coal. Just a few pieces will cook for ages. Well worth the price the flavour is sensational. Can use a grill or pan over the top.

    We bought it to use when cooking with a Tagine as the accompanying brazier reached its used by date. The Thai Cookpot worked a treat as it’s more effective way of heating the Tagine.

    We have one at home. Get some air in there from a basic blower pump and it can get seriously hot.

    Just spent 14 years in Cambodia. They cost about $10 over there and everyone has one. Appreciate they are heavy and cost to get them here . Very honest of you to lay that out They are brilliant to cook on. I can tell you the Vietnamese ones are HEAPS better if you can get them. Quality of finish is superb and they are taller and a bit thinner like a rocket stove. Here's a little tip from Asia...got an old thong? Cut it up into inch square pieces. They make brilliant ( but smelly) firestarters 👍

    1) sorrry but i couldnt help but to think, had this not been a clay charcoal pot but a bargain camper and is made from a country with fewer letters in its name, would people come to same conclusion - food for thoughts perhaps;
    2) just to show there's a simpler and cheaper alternative to the greatest outback tested first world solution;
    3) it's funny how 100years ago your local craftsman would make this locally and you would simply come and collect the item and most of the $ you paid go into his and his extented family's pocket; - these days, only a tiny faction of $ goes to the manufactuer/craftsman and most going to storage/transport/distribution and other entities which doesnt produce anything - i suppose thats progress - we do end up way more choices we would otherwise not have... but i just feel like there's something wrong about the whole concept;
    good on you luke though, for opening up people's eye there's whole different way out there.

    There is nothing wrong with this. Just because there are imperfections in the look and Finnish people think it all needs to be factory finished and pristine. Nope... rustic does the job. still well made. I will definitely get one from you. Came here from MR Buckaroonie's vid... Q: do you have a stainless steel or enamel version of the cooking dome for that pot, please?

    would be perfect for an evening on the house decking / back yard .. don't think it would last long in the back of a 4WD , but that's not what it's meant for

    I just wish my courier that dropped off my thai charcoal cooker from Drifta didn't have to slam the bloody thing down with all his might as he left it on my doorstep. The faarken' stove has a huge crack right down the middle.
