Fun fact, The Hydra wasn’t originally foreshadowing for EPATBW. Fearnots just REALLY enjoyed the intro and were clamouring for the full version. There was no full version so Yunjin decided to make one.
oh what a lovely surprise! I completely forgot about your Lesserafim album journey since it’s been a while 😅 Thanks a lot for listening and giving your thoughts, always love when people read Lesserafim’s lyrics 🫶🏾🫶🏾
they performed 'The Hydra' live on 2022 MMA Awards Show and it was one of their best ever live performance... and they won the 'Best Performers Award' on the show too
You should react to Yunjin's solo music, her songs has a great message too. I ≠ DOLL Raise y_our glass Love you twice 14:15 BY THE WAY I LOVE THE REACTION AND THE HONEST COMMENT. This is what constructive criticism is, not those nasty threats and malicious comments that these haters are sending to the girls and they say its CRITICISM wherein fact IT'S BECOMING STRAIGHT UP BULLYING. I just hope they don't listen to those nasty things and focus on the criticism and just continue to grow more and improve their selves. MORE LE SSERAFIM CONTENT PLEASE
Totally agree with what you said about the hate lsrfm is getting!! I’m not sure if it’s a cultural thing but as an American it’s clear to me that kpop is very different from American pop. Kpop idols are entertainers before anything the way i see it. That’s why dancers, singers, and even just really attractive people are recruited to be trainees. I truly think what matters the most for someone to become an idol is the drive, and discipline that they have. They make catchy music, put on amazing performances, and all have good personalities which is why I love le sserafim. I think the standard in South Korea is perfection but there is not one person who is going to be perfect in every category during every performance, part of kpop is the illusion of perfection the companies push, which I guess a lot of people don’t realize is not real.
for 4th gen, sure, it's all about entertainment, but during 1st to mid 3rd gen however, the vocals were absolutely an integral part of being an idol, which is why people are having problems with groups these days
le sserafim's songs are all so good and have great messages, glad you liked them! also loved your thoughts on the stupid hate train they've been getting, because same lol. atp i think people are just doing it because it's a trend or something. regardless the girls are doing amazing. can't wait to see more lsf reactions in the future! 😁
You should check out Yunjin’s solo stuff at some point. She has 4 solo songs and 2 collabs. She was given a lot of creative freedom on them - the first one was even release to mark the first 100 days with LSF and it’s crazy that an idol could get solo music released so quickly after their group’s debut.
Le Sserafim is a great gg group. Its just haters gonna hate no matter what. They always prove what their capable off. Still proud of them even after Coachella. I hope you can also react to IVE's new release song HEYA :). Thank you
The critics are not because "the fans" have high standard, but because the want attack Hybe in moment of the conflict between ADOR and Hybe. K-pop fans feel Hybe ruins the k-pop industries because they are dominating the industries. Usually the domination is from "BIG 3" company: SM, JYP, and YG. They have bad campaign against Hybe especially their girl groups. The true competitor is BTS, because BTS's value is more than whole k-pop industries. But many of them afraid to attack BTS directly because ARMY will defend BTS. Of course there are proportional critics but only few. Many k-pop fans don't understand about vocal technique, they don't have listening skill to differentiate back track vocal and live singing and how they mix. If they have high standard of vocal technique the most popular girl group will not Blackpink and the second is not Twice, but it should be Mamamoo. Mamamoo is like vocal group, even their rapper improved her vocal technique a lot recently. Rose from Blackpink when debut have worst vocal technique compare to many main vocalist of 3rd generation of girl group, like Wendy from Red Velvet (even Suelgi have better vocal technique), Solji from Exid, Yuju from GFriend, all vocalist from Mamamoo, Jihyo from Twice only slightly better. The opinion about vocal technique from k-pop fans usually about stable vocal while dancing. They don't understand about which choreo is harder while singing because they don't understand about vocal technique. And also about high note, but they don't know the different about the technique, is it mix voice, balance or chest dominant or head dominant, is it falsetto or head voice. How can people make critic when they don't understand about it? If they don't like it, it is OK because it is subjective. People have different taste.
i always loved your taeyeon reaction and your le sserafim reactions doesn’t disappoint. always loved how you delve into the lyrics and everything. thanks for sharing your thoughts! hope to see more le sserafim from you. no matter how perfect they try to be, people will always find something to criticize or hate about.. so i really hope the girls will always be able to find the good parts within themselves. to everyone else too! always find the good parts.

14:50 I partially disagree with the expectations recently being high because expectations have ALWAYS been high. the thing is, during 1st to mid 3rd gen, vocals were seen as a top priority among idols which is why the standard has always been high, it's not until recently that it seems like companies are now only aiming at visuals, stage presence, and vibes as the top priority for idols and just leave the vocals as the last thing in their minds.
i get what you’re saying, however you’re missing something crucial - in old gen kpop mistakes were apart of it, the point was to actually appreciate the live vocals and all that… but ever since the pandemic things become prerecorded more often (which was a safety thing, so i get it). however it just got out of hand imo bc it stuck with a lot of companies. not to mention all of these its live type shows are edited SO much afterwards that nobody sounds like that. nobody sings with no backing track anymore bc look what happened when le sserafim did that first week of coachella. people acted like it was the worst thing they’ve ever heard because they’re used to “live” vocals sounded very polished and pitch corrected. this is not me saying they were amazing and couldn’t use more training bc we all know that, but that’s literally not the point anymore. (they did put on an amazing performance though) most kpop stans never truly cared about that aspect, they just wanted to send hate. so it’s true that expectations are unrealistic now, because no human can ever sound like that live. it’s setting up the idols and it’s giving kpop stans these false expectations. that’s why it was so shocking. so i’m not saying you’re wrong, i’m just saying that there are different layers to this topic
It's little complex than that, those girls are famous for their high intense and accurate dances. When you're doing crazy dance movements, it's just not humanly practical to have pitch perfect vocals. It would have been better to have back vocal tracks to support it, along with some vocal session with handheld mics to showcase their true vocal skills, not sure if they did that. They do have good vocals, hence not sure "leave the vocals as the last thing in their minds" comes from. From what I heard, Aespa used back tracks, there is no shame with that, as today's kpop idols (as well as other idol groups generally) changed a lot, it's more about the whole experience (vocal + dance + stage presence/design + special effects, etc.), after all they are idols, not pure singers. While at the same time audiences are still demanding perfection on all aspects and will complain if the results are lower than the ideal bar. It's about time to realize the new trend and adjust accordingly. Those girls are also learning a lot, give them some time to improve. And don't forget, there are rational people, as well as fans whose are understating, reasonable and supportive.
@@rembbokiethank you for saying this bc when i started listening to kpop before the pandemic,i realized the pre-recorded/ picture perfect nature of the performance. & i have been singing my whole life so i knew that a lot of the performances weren’t live but i didn’t really care bc i knew they were putting on a show. even now i know that and i still don’t care bc these girls give their all to do everything else performance wise (also each group needs work at something, whether it be performance, dance , singing etc).& i don’t disagree with the fact they could use better training but i look forward to seeing them improve bc thats HUMAN of them. so to see all this hate just because they don’t sound perfect live is so unnecessary to me. criticism is one thing but to hate them for something that can be changed over time is another. also (though i hate to compare) aespa is on a whole tour and from the majority of clips i have seen are using a backtrack & or lip syncing. We know those girls can sing but NO one is saying that they hate them of saying they should disband for it… you can want improvement but to be so nasty to these girls when you could simply not listen to them will always be weird to me.
