My hero! I write original lyrics and music due to my love of the genius of Larry’s writing! My dream is to sit down with Mr. Gatlin and if that would ever occur I would cry and cry! That’s what I dream to happen! Just putting another feather in his 🤠!
I have watched a few of these episodes. They are nice. However, I am a bit confused about a common trait on “Christian” shows. Why are certain people chosen to be interviewed? And who decides which people should be interviewed on this show? If the goal is to talk about the Lord reshaping lives, then why are only people associated with fame and celebrity interviewed on this show? The Lord is working in the lives of many people, but most of those godly folks have not won publicly esteemed awards and praise. So, why am I not seeing school teachers interviewed as those who are striving to live for God and care for their students by the Lord’s strength in classrooms; why aren’t they on this show? Why am I not seeing hard working men and women who are striving to live for God by surrendering their lives over to the Lord so they can serve their families as husbands and fathers who “love their wives like Christ loves the church,” and wives who understand the power of balance by letting their husbands lead their families in a feminine power and exonerated world; how come they are not on this show sharing with others how submission can work in a united marriage? Many people are living every day under the weight of living a godly life in a godless world. I think they should be able to share their experiences as well with this show’s audience. We desperately need the strength of each other to make it though this world. So the days of giving a voice solely to “Christ-like” celebrities are over, in my opinion. Sadly, all I see on these episodes are acclaimed “successful” celebrities in church circles as those worthy of being asked about walking out their faith, as followers of Christ, in Today’s Nashville as they receive praise and sought after information about themselves. This show seems to be exonerating only the celebrity followers of Christ in Today’s Nashville. How about widening the spectrum of Christian guest on this show? How about allowing various followers of Christ to share their experiences with walking with Christ? They probably have powerful testimonies as well as the successful famed followers of Christ.✝️
Geez, is Larry back on the chit? .. Lord I hope not .. His mind seems to be racing a million miles an hour, and in all directions .. Maybe it's early-set dementia .. Just not like him at all .. Keeping him in my prayers. 🙏
Another strange thing is his story about how he wrote All the Gold .. I could have sworn many years ago he told the tale that he was riding in the back of a cab on his first visit to L.A. when, after being overwhelmed by all the big city sights and sounds there, the words to the song came to him, and he quickly wrote it down (and even sang a little of it to the driver). In his "new" version, if he's driving a rental car, how could have written it down while driving on the back of the Hertz receipt. ? 😕
