- Hey,
I recently purchased this amazon hair styler which ive seen people suggesting its a dupe for the dyson, i have never used the Dyson so i cant compare the two but i can give an honest review for this product.
I know your not meant to wrap the hair but the styler isnt powerful enough to grab the hair hence wrapping it to show you. I wouldnt recommended this item, the hair dryer part wont even stay clipped in anymore!

I wanted to pin a comment as theres alot saying i wasnt doing it correctly, i used this on damp hair aswell as dry. This product didnt have enough power to it to grab the hair like the dyson to curl. it over heated everytime i used it! After having it 3 months it stopped working. It slightly worked on my daughter’s hair but dropped as soon as i had finished the whole head!

You have to hold your hair out a bit and let the end wrap and use a curl mouse or something and hair spray your hair

This product sucked after waiting weeks to get it it just didn’t work at all for the more I tried my hair just wouldn’t wrap the barrel n curl😢

I've just got one today and I totally agree. The hairdryer and the curling brush is good, but it's not powerful enough to make good curls.
It works the two curlers you get both curl opposite ways. So what you do is you section off some hair and hold it horizontally outward and put the wand and hover underneath the hair give it 10 seconds and the attachment auto grabs the hair and wraps it round

Agree. This product is rubbish. The curling barrels are nothing but a rubbish piece of plastic. They don't actually curl your hair at all. I'd tell people not to waste their money on it.
I just bought it and it is perfect..... Just when you curl your hair it needs to be dump not dried...

Yes she's absolutely correct she's not doing it right it's not supposed to curl on dry hair it's supposed to be damp
I have this it works, just stop shaking it when it's curling on the barrel, keep it still

You're not supposed to do it on dry hair your hair supposed to be a little damp so it could take shape It's not supposed to be soaking wet either but damp hair it works much better that's the whole idea of the hot air to dry it and shape it when your hair is already dry it does not take shape with air drying
I bought this and I’ve got thick hair, I don’t feel the curl tool curls my hair the way it’s shown on the videos promoting it. The hair dryer and the brush is absolutely brilliant. I would rate it 3/5 overall

That's cause your 2inch section has twice as much hair then theirs. I have the same issue, especially at the long parts at the end that I have to keep my hands up and it's exhausting. If I take break between sections it's fine.
I haven't received mine yet so I really don't know, but it looks like you are pulling the curl out while it is still hot. Don't touch it until it is nice and cool. I'm guessing straight, fine hair like yours doesn't hold a curl too well in general, but touching it too soon will make it worse.
I had to wrap the hair as it wasn’t powerful enough to grab the hair on its own. Others have also said this in their comments! I also had extensions in at the sides of my hair so that probably didnt help. I tried curling my daughters hair with it, had no issues, still wasnt that powerful but made a curl but came out really quick. Im sure you’ll be able to make your own mind up once u get urs & hopefully it works for you! 🙂

The curlers are single use. One is for short curls and the other long
Have u tried using number 2 or 3 on the power / heat level?
Because I saw many ppl try curling on heat level 1 but it’s actually the cold shot level and doesn’t hold the curl or even grab the hair on its own :)
it stopped working after 2 months
The air wrap curler didnt do anything on me. It didnt grab my hair. But its a good blow dryer and blower brush.

My wife has just purchased this, I’m not the expert but it seems like cheap knock off rubbish to me. She tasked me with finding a video demonstrating its use.

Your hair is supposed to be a bit damp for the curler to work.
tried that before too but it didnt do anything either

You shoudnt need to wrap your hair round the barrell. It should do it itself

Yes but sometimes it’s best to do it that way, where u control it yourself for best results,

I’ve used mine twice now and in the second time using it it just stopped working. I figured it overheated and now it won’t turn on! It’s now blowing air

This product was a piece of junk. Its worth about $10, and sells for $60. Sad. Don't waste your money and shame on you Shapewell for your false advertisement

Thats alot for something that doesnt really do the job! Ive saw other ‘dupes’ from tiktok that others have gotton from DH Gate, apparently its better!
