Price of everything in st lucia is OUTRAGEOUS.
You’re right, the Eggo blueberry waffles going for $6+ US dollars 💵 and they’re $2.99 around the corner store.
The prices at BJs and Costco have increased also. Putting a barrel or commercial bin together is costing an arm and a leg. Some things are cheaper here (Saint Lucia) than in the USA
Yes its expensive in St Lucia. But this is a tiny caribbean island. It costs money to get produce here that we dont or cant grow locally. We have beautifully air conditioned grocery stores....
Most local people dont live on the foods shown here... like the fast foods etc. They are much healthier too. The price and cost of living everywhere has increased dramatically. Not just in st lucia. Eating out is expensive, too...
Local produce like salad and vegetables are very inexpensive and so is local meat like chicken, pork and beef... people choose wisely here .... its not all bad.

most people want it now tho. they don't have the time to learn how to mass produce 😄. i super agree tho. we not even talking about high level automation yet. just high level people farming.

Government boasting they have a surplus yet still they can't help the malayway..especially with groceries I went to massy awa..and they begging people to stay healthy..tell me how these people can eat properly

In st Lucia,salmon is unaffordable. Fish is very expensive. These high prices of healthy food contribute to an unhealthy nation
