On this very short flight, I begin my first of three legs back to Atlanta on the Embraer. It was a beautiful morning in the Florida Keys and made for a great view to Miami. Taxiing on this airfield was pretty cool because it felt like we were huge to the rest of the airport! On takeoff, flaps were set to full to get us off the ground as fast as possible since the runway is only 4,800 ft long! We only rotated at the ILS markers at the end to the runway so we didn't have much runway left at all! Again no dink service on this flight since it was so short but I think they could've managed to pass out water at least but I'll live. The seat was fine. Its was comfortable enough for a short flight and you had enough legroom. The flight itself was great. The views were stunning and we had a great approach into MIA. Overall this flight was nice!
I highly suggest going to Key West to anyone. It's a beautiful island and is so different from the rest of the USA that it stands out from anywhere else. Also my mom now lives in Key West and works at Signature at the airport! If you ever stop by the FBO, say to her for me! She works at the front desk and her name is Joanie!
If you go to 9:00 you can see the helicopter that takes you on a tour of the whole island! I got to go and it was also my first helicopter ride! I highly suggest to anyone who goes to Key West to book a tour with them! You will have an awesome time and the pilot's will show you some amazing sights, tell you some cool facts, and make sure you have a great time! They are Air Adventures Helicopters (Key West). WOW!!!!!! THOSE PINK, purple & fire-gold clouds were unbelievable!!!!!
Call me weird but this is quite relaxing. That said, I leave Key West screaming and kicking like a baby.
Love the view of that cumulonimbus cloud looking like a giant lion's paw in the sky!

Shortest flight ever.
My brother lived in Key West decades ago, and he said that he hated its "escapist" atmosphere. But I'd like to go there to see the Hemingway House and all the cats there!
That must be the shortest flight in the country for that size jet. I love how he really spooled up the engines before releasing the brakes because of the short runway. I could make out my nephew's condo (Seaside Residences) as it banked to the north. Nice vid!

I flew into key west 3 times and when we land we have to make a hard landing because we need to stop because the runway is short
