- Hi there; and welcome back to the creepy, haunting hidden levels of Spyro: A Hero's Tail!
This is a veeery brief video showing two more of the hidden levels in the game. I was originally going to put them in the last video, but they just didn't fit in very well, so I saved these scenes for this episode. As such, they're a little unpolished -- but who cares; these levels aren't really the definition of 'polished' anyway =P
Now let's join Sparx and Hunter in a depressing, dull, empty venture through the not-so-massive lands of... well... nowhere in specific!
I have watched all your Spyro Hero's tail hidden levels videos. Awesome work, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed them! :)
It's so cool seeing all the stuff you find in these games, thanks for sharing!
Ahh no - sorry; I haven't mentioned this yet, but I used character codes for these levels. Most of them were either didn't have a character assigned to them (don't know who those levels were designed for), or were for either Spyro or Blink.
On the other hand, Sparx is completely controllable here without rails -- so who knows =)
It was recorded on PCSX2--hence the 720p option. =) I think everything can be theoretically modded, but I don't know anyone who knows how to do it. Characters and levels can both be replaced, but the models themselves have been left unmodded so far.
At the moment the codes aren't organised, and they're all for the PAL version only (meaning NTSC players will be left out), so I'm not really ready to release them yet - sorry. =(
At some point though, I'm hoping that I can upload all of the hacks and information I have to a personal site. If that happens, they'll be there. =)
Sparx has some creepy hallway/tunnel areas here. 2:48 OK now Hunter has fire. Burn the grid to the ground!
Yeah, it's possible to access the levels on PS2. The game wipes your save file when you begin, though, so it's a little more dangerous.
Yeah - but not much. =( The name and a few cut scripts from within the level are all I know. How it looked or played is a complete mystery; I actually made a program just to explore EtD's textures and images - there was nothing of it. A demo version from June '02 was similarly lacking.
It's really hard to know if the level was ever even modelled. One thing's for certain though: the level would have had the last 10 dragonflies, and the game's dragonfly total would have been 100 instead of 90.
0:49 Now that's what I call an unfinished level!
RIP Lxshadow.... :'(
I hope I get a good coffin =(
...wait a minute
XD YOUR ALIVE!!!! (But any new video?)
yiris10001 Yeahhh! =D It feels good not being dead My channel isn't really dead either, but since I've been working on other things (making games!) I haven't had much free time. Also I don't know how many more levels are left in AHT; it's probably almost run out of them by now =P
I've got a little idea for a Spyro 3 video though that I hope to do in the Summer. Better stay alive until then =D
Hey SetoCrazy, thanks! =) Sorry I didn't reply to your last PM - I completely forgot about it x.x
Hope the programming has been going well since we last spoke. =)
Finally there is sound : D [2:10]
i know theres a program out there called the spyro world viewer that was made by aleksuklim aka kly_men_c0mpany and u can use it to rip models levels and textures from the original spyro trilogy games 1-3...is the program you made similar to that but for spyo enter the dragonfly for the ps2??
oh I see thanks for the information =)
Hey LXShadow, will you ever be making more videos like this?
Hi Kasey--I will be, but it'll be a while from now; college work's taking up most of my time. I've virtually promised at least a short Spyro 3 video for this summer though, so I hope that counts! =) Spyro: A Hero's Tail probably doesn't have many hidden levels left in it, so be advised: if I did make another AHT video they'll probably be the smallest, quietest, emptiest and probably creepiest levels of all =P
you made a program to actually explore etd's textures images and models?? well do you think you can extract actual levels models or textures using this program you created from the original game and port them into a program such as Maya Real-Time SDK, or 3DSmax, etc... (Maya Real-time SDK is what equinoxe or check six games use to develop spyro enter the dragonfly, and what people have used to develop the popular game World of Warcraft, would this be possible to do using ur program???
0:50 MINECRAFT RIPOFF!!!!
Nice
wow was sparx planned to have real levels and not only that stupid shooter minigame?
