I think they should have taken the £17,000,000 and built 100s of skateparks around the UK instead of just this one, but then I'm just jealous of places that have parks at all!
I've added this to my 'skateparks to visit before I die' list 🙌
I quit bmx in 2009 but have been watching this channel since the beginning. After years of dreaming about riding I finally decided to go out and buy a Tall order complete. I’m age 30 now and relearning everything again and having such a good time, feels like I’m 16 again without a care in the world. So thanks Baz and the lads on the channel 🤘🏼
1:53 you surly are mate!!!
Long awaited blog ,good to see you all back keep the content coming
Thank you
I live in the local area to this , Im 42 and havnt ridden in over 20 years but still interested in bmx and watch videos all the time. I love how the sport has progressed and often think about building up and riding a bike again.
I have watched this park being built for many years with curiosity and now it is finished you have shown me what is inside and how much it has cost I am shocked.
17million is absolutely mental! I totally agree with other comments, they could of taken that money and built a much better concrete park in nearly every coastal town along the south coast. It would make a change from the badly designed metal setups you see everywhere that are only fit for scooter kids under the age of 8 . If you look at how they do it in America and compare it to that new park, it really does make you wonder what the designers were thinking . Or, go over to Hastings and look at the source park. If top riders from all around the world go there to do competitions then it’s obvious that something like that would of been better and a hell of a lot cheaper.
If you pay people to ride events they'll turn up. This skatepark seems to be a design/architectural project for the company more than "building the best skatepark".
America is so massive that there are many amazing parks, but also a lot of terrible ones. Some people would have to drive the length of England to even get to a skatepark let alone a good one.
That skatepark took so many years to build in Folkestone 😮
Great to see you all uploading again 👌
not allowed to ride a 17mil bowl because you have pegs is the most "manager" thing i've heard in a long time.
Tbf pegs do ruin pool coping. We respect that decision
But so do skate trucks 🤔and what about plastic pegs with a fresh sleeve? It might tickle the coping slightly with some black marks.
RELEASE THE KARENS!
@@tallorderbmx hey guys, you should come to Canada and show you the Glendale skate park I have a challenge for Matt as well on the south west side.
World's most expensive skatepark has world's lowest roof
Great seeing you guys again!
It's great to see another video. You guys are always so upbeat. Any chance we will we will ill be seeing Jordan sometime soon?
Defo will try get Jordan out soon!
Finally another video from you guys man I’ve been waiting too long.
Good to see Matt is back on the bike
I’m stoked too
I wonder what a 17 million pound one floor skatepark would look like. Probably a lot sicker.
The website team rider profiles could do with an update.
Baz and the boys! I miss these videos. Stop being adults with real lives and give us more videos.
How much did Corby cost?
I'd love to see a UK version of Ray's mtb park, preferably in Essex.
Back at it again with the man..the 🌊
Welcome back guys 👍🏼
Thanks BAS !
What’s the intro music called? It’s so good
is there any air conditioner inside? how was the thermal condition?
Tell the manager " you know you can fill deep scratches or peg defects in concrete with sand and polyester resin.". Local hardware store probably has it
Yess your back. Surely that park didn't really cost 17mil. If it did, then some1 is definitely lining their pockets somewhere
If the price includes the building, then 17M are realistic
Bargain. I'd have charged £18m.
It was going to be a carpark
Whenever ANYTHING is built people are lining their pockets.. don't be so oblivious and blindsided lol
Just look at the disgusting housing market.. where new homes cost a relative pittance to build and are finished to such poor quality and are then sold for hundred of thousands of *insert local currency* ..
It rains so much in England that a 17 mega-pound skatepark is viable. Where I live the one single one we had went out of business.
.. would probably cost less building a big industrial warehouse space
@@Srt3D01-db-01 try pitching that to a local government though. They need pretty architecture that they can put photos of in press releases, then pretend it isn't a skate park whenever they drive by.
Truth
Yes
That's dope bro here in Michigan we're always closing indoor parks
Saw Matt on Gogglebox tonight
Would it have been cheaper if the building was normal shaped? Maybe not. But hopefully this will inspire the US to stop closing all our indoor spots.. Cheers
Missed you Bas
Thanks mate
Damn I missed these videos
When Mavericks built it, I didn’t get to see anyone ride it 🔥👍🚲💨
The new Big Boy? Nah, there's only one flair master!
Da boys!
Seems pretty expensive. I think skateboarding and bmx would benefit more from 17 £1,000,000 spots.
You guys need to check out Chris bates from southsea……pure excellence on a bmx
Just imagine 14 UK Woodwards instead of this place though....... what's the vote out of 10 then guys? Worth a visit?
The new big boy lol 😆
Crazyyyy!
So... three floors and yet no place where you can launch up off a halfpipe without worrying of hitting the ceiling?
The roof on the bowl room seems low
i seen this on insta and wanted to go
Dam the U.S don’t got Shiiiii on that park all we got is the heat ⚖️
For 17m I would expect 18k bowls and rails at least 😅
Can't believe this place actually exists lol
Wow I’m guessing the 17 m was on the structure cus that park doesn’t look the greatest
It’s so bad
It's for the land and construction of it, its also not just a skate park. There's a 3 floor climbing gym and boxing gym. The charity that paid for it states its 14m on their website.
@@andyba01 damn what charity pays 14m for a skatepark and gym holy shit
That is the biggest waste of money ever. From someone who’s rode their it unbelievably shit. In my opinion I would go Corby instead.
Most the money went in to making a building that can hold all the weight 🤣
Would've been way more cost effective to build in a more industrial area and set up a shuttle bus on the weekends 🤷
Nice park. Wish someone would invest a few million into a basketball gym
Its kieran there?
He wasn’t
@@tallorderbmx is he still in the squad
Respectfully only a 11M USD project,
so it’s not that surprising guessing a lot of money went into the building itself let alone the three floors, seems like the money was spend quite accordingly even though it may seem a bit excessive
Sick park though too bad it’s not in LA
Where’s Tom? It’s been ages.
i realy wonder how many bowls got fuck up so bad that they dont allow bmx with pegs its just insane
True
I refuse to believe this cost 17m
....maybe including the building etc. , but the park itself can be build with 3-4m
Yes of course the building. The design, steel work, concrete, facade. Years over schedule. COVID didn't help.
Skateboarder snitched. Not the pool couping lol
He was cool about it, and we totally understand
£17m....wow.
Cost of plywood has gone up I suppose.
✌️
Wonder where the 16.8 million went
That park is a big disappointment. Ceilings are too low, escpecially at the concrete bowls. There are giant concrete pillars in the way obstructing the bowl transfers. The stair rail is a sad excuse.
The city, or whoever paid for it, got scammed big time. That park ain't worth 5% of 17 mil. Someone probably bought NFTs and commissioned banksy to paint it onto the wall.
It's better than u think. Designed and built in lock down with loads of delays and the park being in the town centre would also make it more expensive. Its great tourism and a good park for locals. But yes it does cost alot more than it realistically should have
What's up with microwaves helmet?
He’s a street rider now
Basement Factory
Most of that money has gone on bureaucracy and brown envelopes.
The whole place is built for skateboards, not even 1 level for bmx
Its decent for bmx. Also hardly any scooter riders there so u decide if its a good park or not
Nah Woodward had to be more!
Probably right!
Place looks like an ing direct corporate office. Not feelin it. A dyi park some randos built under a bridge w trash graffiti and an old mattress by the side is way sicker.
Even when they were showing off the WIP on this place it looked like a massive waste of time & money. There's huge expanses of coast literally 2 minutes down the road where they could've built a seriously incredible outdoor/indoor combo park but instead they're building million pound apartments there, and have put up this completely pointless stack of three mediocre cramped parks on top of each other. It's such a shame
part seems lame for pros...I mean..you low ceiling! but fun skate park
too much taking
more tricks next edit please
It doesnt look great tbh, would of been better in a 2 x giant warehouses with high roofs and would of cost about 16 million less.
The hype on this building doesn't exist. Its like a council generic skatepark built by people who don't have a clue. Even the building itself with its low roofs has had no thought put into it I know that and im 54 and havent ridden since the 80s
Lol fun
i cant stand skateparks that limit bikes etc from riding certain things...theirs no reason like wtfd its a skate park why cant you ride everything? youve paid to be there like evryone else rite
17M for this damnnn it looks so boring 😂
Its decent. Its designed to be unique and Definitely different to what most people are used to
Told off for using was lol what a joke
It really doesn't look like anything special, I was expecting something cool, but it's just a normal skatepark
Not gonna lie bmx is for wveryone thats afraid to ollie.
That’s such a waste of money, skatepark is dead
The place looks like it was designed by civil engineers not skaters or riders. For the cost it looks lame AF.
There’s not much to it for how much it cost. It’s all just the same stuff on each floor. They got one tiny street area on the second floor and then on the first and third floors ya got nothing but bowls. Not much variety. Quite underwhelming. I don’t see what all the hype is about
Just goes to show how bad this bmx so call company is .on the web page .team riders. that have left years ago.and still make out thay are riding for so call toss order. people behind the company aka boy baz, still tying to milk people ,to make money .making out thay ride for toss order. ???
