Time stamp 8:00. The poem cited by Wen Kexing 但渡无所苦，我自迎接汝 has a story behind it. The poem was written by a famous Chinese calligrapher Wang Xianzhi and he dedicated this poem to his lover Taoye. It was said in Eastern Jin dynasty, Huai River was vast and became a torrent in Taoyedu (a ferry place named after Taoye). If the wind or wave was strong, the ferry might capsize. Taoye became worried every time she took the ferry, so Wang Xianzi wrote this poem to comfor her :) The whole poem basically means Taoye you can ferry across the river without using paddle (because of the torrent). Do not worry when corssing the river, I will be waiting for you by the river.

When I was reading the novel, this was exactly what I was envisioning. Kudos to the team for choosing the right actors, the script was on point, though there were some scenes that were slightly changed, but I think it's for the good of the whole show. Thank you, too, for sticking to the novel :) It's one of favorite Priest's works. I am so looking forward to the next episodes ^^

I cannot believe what I was seeing and reading on social media n TH-cam all abt Zhang Zhehan not being able to act no more😭😭😭 I firmly believed that he isn't a bad person nor is sided with the Japanese. I believed he just simply enjoyed his friend's wedding in Japan n took photos just like any other places. It's such a heart breaking for not seeing him in any other future films. I pray he'll make a comeback one day soon. I wish China's law is like the United States law where u can appeal in court, 'innocent until proved quilty'
Actually he can't appeal in court because there isn't any court order to ban him from preforming. There is only a recommendation from the preforming arts society, which refuses to admit their wrong decision.
He is innocent and he will come back. The association which tried to ban him is under investigation. Let’s hope sth good can happen soon
