This channel is such a great idea. Getting tired of going through a 20 minute tutorials before getting into the action. It sometimes kills the mood before the game even starts haha. True. For instance, when we play Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, out goal usually is to solve the case regardless if we win the game.

5 minutes spent into this video will not letting me get my 1h of reading to the bad original game's manual back with another 1h of clumsy 1st round of (wrong) gameplay, but it's such a relief that sometimes an external animated video with a lot of precise and good examples will answer all questions than being forced to take an endless journey through the mass of bgg forum threads to find the thing you're searching for. Thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much for the professional work - you made it 10 times better than the bad manual. Oh dear lord, please let me not suffer any QA-untested manuals in future anymore. I'm sooo tired!

Awesome video! Clean, straight to the point and with great visuals. Some time ago I was thinking about recording videos just like this one to save myself time and effort every time I have to explain the rules to the new players. Now I can show them this! However, there's one condition-they must understand English… But there's a way to go around this! Could you enable community translations of the subtitles? :D

Ana Pao You can only have one active race at a time. So in order to get a new active race, you put your current race in decline, score points for them, and then next turn you can pick a new active race. Normally, you will only have a maximum of one active race and one race in decline at a time (although the 'spirit' special power lets you have 2 in decline races at once)

I have to agree with T.S. on the favorite race/trait combo over Rules Girl. But only if that's your first race. A great one any time is Pillaging Orcs!
TS here. She managed to block me off one time with the three unconquerable regions of that combo, and it slowed me down enough for her to win.
Come on TS! That's when you abandon your foothold and come in at the other side of the map entirely, where her low-point hobbits won't bother you at all. Never forget the tactical option of taking all your troops completely off the map to start fresh somewhere else.

Before this , when i attack to another player i removed all of they troops back to game box but i now know that only 1 of his troops only will leave the board and go to box except the elfs /

Ana Pao When you choose to go in decline, you don't do anything else that turn, you only score points for your in decline race. Then next turn you pick your new active race and attack with it that same turn. The special power 'stout' lets you do a round of combat as normal and then go into decline at the end of it, but you still wait til next turn to pick your new race.

nice video, when you are the orcs, arn't you sopposed to need 3 tokens to take over the one token lands? in the video you only use two
Good question! Those orcs happen to have Commando, so they need 1 less token to take over those lands. Pretty good combo, eh?
Very nice. A small error - you say deal 5 race/trait combos @4:00.
I believe you deal out five and then leave the sixth one on top of the stack as illustrated, but we didn't think of a particularly eloquent way to word it.

Fundamental error right off the start. You Don't select your initial race and then play. You ALL select your races and THEN play begins.And ummmm...should set up bet at the start of the vid instead of 3:44?
