I found it fresh and yet nostalgic. It gave me what I truly missed; emersive escapism. Many current comics from the mainstream have become overly burdened with real world modern touches that diminish the escapists nature of what was once fun and engaging. I missed simple fun adventure in strange new worlds and lands. Today's major IP's seem to be competing with what made them timeless and the egotism of modern creatives looking to reshape them into their own ideas. Not to mention the meddling of editorial placing in characters and themes to fit what ever a market annalist deems to be "a broader appeal". I will be excited to finish this miniseries if the next two issues will be as fun as the first.
Easily the best issue from the Nacelleverse so far. Never watched Power Lords but Culver made it very approachable.
