It's a huge difference in prices for used and unused, and mostly used are more expensive than not used , if you don't have a catalog i can help you when i have time
What sounds exciting to me is buying old unsorted stamps which still have possible surprises to be found as I found while sorting the shoeboxes of stamps my grandfather left me. I dont know...buying a collection sounds fun also.To start I am willing to spend between 100-400..wet my amateur beek,lol. I am in Edmonton, Alberta,Canada.

I also found what looks unused and near mint Imperial Russia stamp,also late 1800.Probobly not worth much but they were in the last twenty loose stamps.
You are just at the beginning of stamps , Russia has a few of the most expensive stamps in the world , everyone knows about England and their stamps ok , but the rest of the world has some good stamps, and very rare and expensive,

Most of them are cheap, are few expensive , but the prices for Chinese stamps is rising rapidly , 😉 if you find something just grab it
