My sister actually theorised that Kakyoin used to live in Moria because Koichis uniform looks identical to Kakyoins one. It makes sense because Dio found Kakyoin when he was on a trip with his family and not at Moria
Well you're sisters theory is right because in the Hol Horse and Josuke novel his sister who is in Morhio visits his grave. Which means he use to live in Morhio and moved to a different place in Japan.
I have gathered most of the evidence for this theory:
-Kakyoin and Koichi have similar student uniforms
-Kakyoin's cousin Ryoko visited his grave in Morioh. (Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak is probably canon) If Kakyoin had no connection to Morioh, why would he be buried there?
-Kakyoin isn't from Jotaro's hometown because nobody recognised him in the school

I see Kakyoin as more of an analytical type character, only really using his stand when necessary. I see him more as someone who does scouting for where a stand could be, or gives details on stand abilities.

My favorite thing about having Kakyoin would be that it would have humanized Jotaro much more in Pt 4. Not to say he wasn't great, but he always felt so above the others with his stoic personality and his experience in life and battle to back it up. Kayoin, as a close friend, could have brought Jotaro down a peg or two and teased him in front of Josuke and the others.
Plus, it wouldn't have made Jotaro seem so "alone in a crowd".
I agree, Jotaro in part 4 acts like part 3 joseph, taking the role as “experienced fighter” who knows a bit more than everyone else, but without someone like Avdol to serve as an equal to Jotaro, he loses the down to earth feel of Joseph and acts as purely as the experienced fighter and intelligent guidance without any equal
You are very right. Both could have supported each other and Kakyoin would have been able to make him smile more often; also Kaykoin in Part 4 would have made a lot more sense than Joseph

My idea:
Kakyoin is found and brought back to life by the Speedwagon Foundation, where he meets a doctor and his intern, who helped and cared for him. The doctor's intern helped him and was able to help him walk and live with fake organs, she provided him with things such as pain killers and things he cares about. She also told the surviving crusaders about their now alive friend. In between Part 3 and 4, Kakyoin appeared as Jotaro's best man during his and his wife's wedding. Kakyoin, himself, would marry the intern.
During Part 4, Kakyoin became interested due to the fact that Josuke has a healing stand, which would heal his organs. He would also go to Tonio's, which would also help his organ problems. He would have also learned new methods involving Hierophant Green's abilities, such as variations of the Emerald Splash, shrinking down to prevent people from feeling pain by blocking the nerves that transfer pain, etc. After the events, Kakyoin would become a dentist, as well as a Speedwagon foundation employee.
I could see part 6 Kakyoin having a son and him going to save Jolyne. After 6 ends (with no restate hopefully) Kakyoin's son marry's Jolyne and they live happily ever after. Wonder how Anasui feels now?

I'd love to think that Kakyoin survives because of Caesar surviving, creating a running theme of side characters giving their lives for each other.
Caesar using the last of all of his immense hamon to restore kakyoin, giving all that he has until he's left with barely a trace of hamon. He gives his life to save the young man, and then kakyoin goes on a quest to learn hamon from this.

Common extreme symptoms include nightmares, panic attacks and flashbacks, caused by "triggers"; in this case the Za Warudo power would be a trigger for Kakyoin that makes him think about his near-death experience and causes him anxiety. Other general symptoms are mood changes, depression, numbness, irritability, jumpiness etc.
@@kubelek37 While I definitely believe Jotaro and Kakyoin could have PTSD relating to it (and probably other things, they were only 17), I doubt that it would be so bad that Jotaro would avoid using the ability when it's needed. I'm also not sure that there was a jump at all; King Crimson causes a jump, but Za Warudo only stops time, so the only thing jumping is Jotaro alongside everything he changes. So Kakyoin would have to see it for it to affect him.
