No way, With my luck I would accidentally trip the leg and it all falls to the floor. Needs to have a secure attachment to the cleat on the wall. I would and have made a sliding attachment from the floor up to the desired height that locks into place. With a slight lift it falls back flat against the walls and using a simple I hook to keep it put away
Thanks for posting this. It is a very good idea. You get a table that can be stored when not needed.

We do what works for us. This set up is good for me and I find it is very sturdy when working (mostly!)
