The second snack you ate is not Risoles, but it's Kroket, a snack originally from your country. In Indonesia Kroket usually made from mashed boiled potatoes mixed with flour and butter dough, filled with various kind of fillings, chicken, beef, veggies, mixed with kind of style, like chicken/beef curry, chicken mushroom or sapi kecap manis. You can find good snacks online or some established bakeries like Monami bakery, this one has good snacks and sweet Asian bread styles, but good food comes with good price. Recommend: Visit the 1. Raminten restaurant, a unique restaurant 2. Benteng Vredeburg, a historical place from the Dutch colonial 3. Affandi museum, Affandi is Indonesian Maestro of art and paintings 4. Try explore on Gunung Kidul thats still Jogjakarta region, so many beautiful beaches, line of beautiful beaches. And continue to 'Dieng Pleateau' in central Java, so many temples, lakes and etc. Normally travel agency have this route. Dieng known as 'negri diatas awan' or heaven in the sky, cause this paradise is higher than anything region on Indonesia. So enjoy susan and janine. Have a great adventure 😊

What you ate wasn't lemper but arem-arem, similar to lemper but made from rice filled with potato, herbs and chilli. While lemper made from gluten rice with chicken only.

there is one thing they haven't told you, that the water park was also used by the Sultan or King of Jogja to bathe with his girls (concubines), then the sultan up to the tower on the 3rd floor, there is a room with windows facing the pool and from there the sultan would choose one concubine for dating upstairs, did you see the bedroom in the 3rd floor near the pool?

Susan.. u and janine must remember 1 thing, Indonesia is so multi ethnic including the foods, eventhough it has the same name, each province might have different taste and way of cook it such as that lemper 😂 That is way our life motto is diverse in unity. 😂

Susan , itu bukan lemper ....tapi arem arem ( nasi yg di bungkus seperti lemper dalam nya di isi lauk biasa nya di isi tempe ato ayam yg di kasih bumbu sedikit pedas ) arem arem di buat pakai beras biasa ....klo lemper di buat dari beras ketan ( sticky rice )
