before apply the motion correction, you should do the transform keys to linear interpolation. thats why in the begging goes slower. you right click on the trasform keyframes and go transition curve , and set it to linear.
You should have started by making a linear transition before applying the correction. You can also set linear on preferences, no warp. The correction would have been correct. Your warp is causing errors
It's the first two walk movements that are wrong , mayby there is a way the cut the two first movements in the motion file in the timeline , that should fix it somewhat.
If at first you don't succeed try 4 more times and whatever happens, happens. Thanks for the vid btw. Just trying to figure out how to get my character to do a half step and turn without foot sliding and leg jiggle. Will try this out and see if it works.
Thanx Mate! I was trying to do short steps and stuff, using path creation...ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😠😠😠😠🤬🤬🤬🤬 Then I saw what you did here; Excellent!!!!!🖖🖖🖖
@Iclone 3D thanks! I'm trying it right now to see if I can figure it out on my own. I. Can't wait to see how you do it! Currently I'm trying to take out an existing mocap's x and y translations and have my character do the same imported mocap animations but not move up/down/left/right/up/down.
Thanks for this. I'm still puzzled about why one of my actors walked perfectly in Motion Director until I changed her shoes. Slipping all over the place, until I changed her shoes back again. If I knew the reason, I could figure out why I had an actor slipping around, regardless of what shoes I put on it. Still, thanks for helping me learn. 👍
That’s odd, have your tried placing the shoes on first and then doing the md motion? That should work even tho it might mean doing all the motions over again
@@iclone3d Yes, the actor had shoes on already. First actor was fine until I changed her shoes, so changed them back. A different actor slipping, so tried different shoes, but didn't solve it. If I figure it out, I will post on here. 😀
Thank you very much for an interesting lesson! The question is: sometimes when we combine 2 movements, the avatar bounces back. Why does this happen and how can it be avoided?
Cool feature! I'm wondering if the worse foot sliding at the start of the walk are the result of a curve being automatically added to the movement you created? It looks like it's on Easy In and Easy Out (how i.learn curves). A linear curve or no curve if that's an option, might improve this.
@@iclone3d I don't have V8 anymore, I was just using the trial version, but I seemed to remember it added a sort of version of easy in - easy out by default... and at a guess, I would say if you right click on the clip and select curve editor you can change it from default to none or maybe Linear? Just a guess though.
@@iclone3d To set the movement to linear select the 2 keyframes and right click, choose transition curve presets and select linear. This will give you a steady speed start and finish, then use motion correction. Iclone will always set the transform to default which gives you a slight ease in and out. Pretty good tutorial though nicely paced and easy to follow. (you dont need to use curve editor for that as your only removing a preset). Pretty good tutorial though nicely paced and easy to follow.
I Hate the correction tool I am fed up and then I wanted to take a break. Just got to find the sweet spot of the parameters 😅 But there is one thing that I am obsessed recently, the iclone does not adjusts motion paths when you project on to imported terrain mesh even you convert it to terrain via right click on mesh and select convert to terrain. It takes time to convert mesh to terrain but iclone does not recognize as terrain like its “iterrain” meshes. I thought that may be I must assign height map also I did that but nothing changed. For flat surfaces it work well but for uneven surfaces to adjust path points, feels like taking lifetime
@@iclone3d see how there is a delay when the characters foot lifts up, it's like the foot is stuck in something and they need to pull it up with more force
I’ve watched 30 seconds of your tutorial and immediately, when I saw your character walking, I suspected that you had not set your motion to linear in Preferences. By default, it is set to auto (spline). For walks, it’s important that you set it to linear. That’s probably why you had to repeat your video five times.

Hello!! After using motion correction what command removes the footprints from the floor so i dont see them anymore??
What if I want to do the opposite? Remove all actual movement animation from a clip and make them walk in place?
Tutorial coming soon on exactly how to do that!

align root motion to previous clip by right clicking and then selecting align to previous clip that should help your issue let me know

Good tip, i will look into that! Where exaclty would the curve be added in the curve editor?

Can you elaborate how it would be useful in such a scenario? Thank you
