ah i can see that. i'm 19 but i use to play these in my all girls summer camp with jacks from cracker barrel and a quarter machine bouncey ball 😆 we even did some jack be nimble nursery rhyme at the end but i forget how it correlated to the game 😂
1. yeah most boys did that, the contest of who can keep more spinning at one time. 2. girls did it the way she do it. 3. babies put them in their mouth 4. idiots put them on the floor of a doorway to see how many people they can get to hurt their foot by stepping on them

Parents, if you want to save money on toys, get them an assortment of different bouncy balls. Glowing, light up, clear with things inside, glitter, etc. Im a 36 year old man and I feel like I need some bouncy balls. Lol. Forgot about them, I had some crazy ones I could bounce right over my two story house.
I've seen this game 100000 times in different movies and toons, cause we don't have such in our country. It was also a quest to identify the name of it only by key words "red ball american game classic needles".
I used to play Jack's way back in the early 70's in grade school. Alot of the kids really got into the game during recess. I had a couple little bags of jacks and about a dozen little rubber balls. Good times. 🙂
My aunt Lydia played a mean game of Jacks. We played them all the time. We put them in between the fingers and try to get each of them. Putting them over the hand like a fence and putting them jacks in a cave cupping the hand. I still play it all by myself using a bigger ball. Fun game if you are over 50 :D
So, the game known as Jacks or Knucklebones goes back roughly 2000 years. Many variations of course depending on where in the world it's being played. I can see how this would be a great betting game for gamblers back then.

I got a set for my kids and the included instruction says catch the ball before it hits the ground. This lady is letting it bounce once, so I'm confused as to the correct way? I recall years ago my grandmother teaching me, and letting it bounce as well.
