I would love to see a Miami homecoming. To have them go over the bathroom incident, the fight between Dan and Melissa, Flora and everyone. Lol. Also, while they’re trying to get homecoming contracts … they should be working on reuniting road rules casts.

Im surprised in all these years,they never did a “Back 2 Miami” (Which im grateful because I LOOOOOVE the original) I know they did Key west but even Janelle said they were on the outskirts really and not in the heart of a party city like Miami was. And it was 1996….just PEAK Versace,Nightlife,Art Deco,Gay Club,Tourist Miami. I have a feeling their Homecoming is gonna be like they never left. Mike,Cynthia,Flora and Joe all literally look and sound the exact same lol
He looks like he has some Zoom filters going, though (along with the fake cornfields in the back, lol). And maybe a little nip and tuck. He doesn't look like the same person! At all! I would never have recognized him. His face isn't even the same shape. Weird.

Great work as always, Mike. The Miami season was really fantastic. It was in many ways they were such a genuine group. A fun and perhaps a tragedy fact. The Miami House was only a couple miles away from the Versace Mansion. The show was filmed in 96 and tragically Versace himself was murdered in front of his doorsteps in July of 97 by the spree-killer Andrew Cunnan. Cunnan was hiding out in plain sight in Miami prior to the murder, where there was a manhunt for him for killing a handful of people prior. After the Versace killing, it took Miami PD a couple weeks to track him down on a houseboat. I do wonder if the house members ever saw Versace roaming around South Beach during their filming.

It's funny how when I think Real World, I don't necessarily think of Mike Lambert but he was involved in both iconic moments that I do think of when I recall the show: The shower scene when Flora broke the window and the toga party during a season of the challenge. I would love to see them do a Homecoming for this season and I'm glad to hear it seems like everyone would be on board. I figured Melissa and maybe even Sarah would not be interested. Wasn't this also the first season that the roommates had a job while filming for the show? I wonder if that came about because season four (London) seemed like such a dud.
I think London cast did have a hard time getting along or really caring about each other at first, but near the end, it seemed like they really got to know each other better, esp after their trip to Africa
Never would I have guessed the Miami would've been down for a Homecoming. The house was so divided by the end of the season. Goodbyes were devoid of emotion. Of course a lot of growing can be done in 20+ years.
Joe mentioned in his book that Melissa and Flora were in contact with some people behind the camera and that’s how they found out about the camping trip and decided they couldn’t go and several were fired for “crossing the line.” And someone on the crew was chef and would cook for them on the island trip.
No disrespect to Mike Lambert, he seems like a nice enough guy, but yeah he's right that MTV clearly cast him last bc they wanted just a good looking and kind of boring dude to mix in with the rest of that nutso group which made up the Miami season...which honestly was the last season that still sort of had a modicum of substance and not just tokens being paid to party, have curfew / be stuck in the house together getting drunk and either hooking up or fighting, like they did with the rest from there on out.

they were just changing things up - then later they had them work together at the same job.

If they do a miami homecoming I doubt it they’ll film it in Miami Beach, is not the same. The party scene has faded and the crowd is different
