So as of right now the best approach is to start saving for when the government makes weed federally legal. Once that’s open I’m sure you won’t have to jump through so many hoops right?
@@koronapos This is Absolutely wrong. you would want to start when medical because you get first hand to being federal and expanding. They allow the prior people open first before new comers so that its not a risk for them
While some laws and regulations have changed, the framework of the steps needed for opening a dispensary is basically the same. You can check out our videos on microbusinesses, social equity programs, Metrc integrations, and others for more in-depth, up-to-date info :)
Hello, I am looking to start up a dispensary in Houston Texas, I understand there are limited licenses available, but would still like to try and take the opportunity in still operating a dispensary under legal Texas. If you or anyone here has the knowledge of a legal team or any information, it would be greatly appreciated
Cannabis can’t cross state lines. Still illegal on the federal level. So please don’t transport weed from one state to another 🥲. Must source from your own state, for now!
okay so basically you can’t sell cannabis without being rich? like who coughs up $250k for a license? ok my dreams are ruined is there any other way to sell and still profit legally
It's only $2000 in maine, I'm thinking about opening a medical dispensary this summer. I already have a building on my property that used to be a gun shop so it's already set up for retail.
I have multiple questions… I’m from the UK unfortunately where all things cannabis are illegal… Is it possible for an immigrant to start a cannabis business? Or will I just be told no if I apply for permits? Is the system age-ist towards people in their 20s starting their own cannabis business? One way or another I’ll find a way to get my way into this industry. cannabis is my legacy I’m extremely passionate about it, it’s impossible to put into words how much better it makes my life and being completely sober now due to my work, it’s all I can think about… moving somewhere where it’s accepted and instead of here.
Hey SKULLxSmAsHeRz, it all depends on your state. Since cannabis isn't legal at the federal level yet, all regulations surrounding it are administered at a state level. Right now, the industry is dealing with a lot of growing pains and many states are not accepting new licenses, so it's a difficult time to get started. I'd start by looking into applying for a green card and seeing which states might be the most feasible for you to open a dispensary.
Fer fucks sake mate englands weed policy is shit.We are opening a dispensary in June in Eureka, California in Humboldt county. Humboldt county is the OG weed growing spot in all of America. We are the ones that brought the term f420 to Humboldt back in the late 80s. 420 started in our hometown of San Rafael California. Our dispensary will be at 29 5th St. Come visit I'll hook you up.
While your entrepreneurial spirit is admirable, we HIGHLY advise against this, T bb. Since cannabis is a controlled substance, this will become more of a "trafficking" situation than an "importing" one.
Hi @ariel1235761 . . . Message me and I can share how you can start your own "Online Virtual Dispensary" ... all 100% Legal, small start up costs, no overhead, shipping required.
@@abbyoyesam5346 Ideally, you should keep your business's finances entirely separate from your personal finances. That way, your personal assets are better protected in the event of bankruptcy.
Anyone who has a weed business here is a idea for you. You have a lot of cash you can’t put in a bank…… open a check cashing place, then deposit the checks. Pay me!!!! Right?? Would that work? I just remember hearing that banks wouldn’t take weed money 💰?
The money isn’t just to get approved, it’s basically saying you need at least this much money to start your business meaning the cost includes the building, finances such as water, nutrients, seeds, ventilation, light, etc. That’s what he meant :). So honestly it’s not that bad because a lot of people have spent 500k-1Mil to start their business, it’s good to start off small and then go from there :)
Know what’s funny I started my cannabis company with a $4500 licenses gotta love the state of oregon just like a gold rush only those who got in early won. ❤
You don’t know how lucky you are, In my country weed is fully illegal and starting a cannabis business is a dream. In America it seems very accepted the ability to walk into a store and smell of weed but when I do it police get called and I get treated like a murderer just for getting high and wanting food. Moral of the story is fuck England
You're not wrong, but there are more options than ever for smaller operations to get off the ground. It largely depends on your state. NY, CA, and MI, for instance, are taking serious steps to ease the barriers to entry in the industry. There are at least some reasons to be optimistic!
Your background music is annoying and your ding sound is way too loud. You talk about a business, but you seem to have issues with a simple TH-cam video.
This was so informative for me . Appreciate all your hard work
I stopped at the banks wont give you loans and you need 250k... you pretty much need to be rich to start one..

High limit business credit cards is all you need
I want to be silent partner , please letnme know
I don’t think is fair that the government makes it so hard to own a weed shop
I will soon have my own

Absolutely! It'll still be very expensive to get started, even if it becomes federally legal.

And this is the very reason that black market cannabis will remain a multi-billion dollar juggernaut! 🤔

Can You Get The Weed From A Commercial Grower In Another State Or It Has To Be Sourced In Your State
Cannabis can’t cross state lines. Still illegal on the federal level.

Must source from your own state, for now!
It has to be sourced in your state. Because cannabis is federally illegal, interstate commerce is a felony.
Be extremely lucky an hope u get accepted for a license 😂
All these rules and regulations are ridiculous I use it solely for medication. Not just for fun.I hope it will be federally legal soon
I wouldn't count on it happening any time soon, especially not under the current administration.

$3k per license in Oklahoma
250K can be raised! Friends and family
You get off your ass and raise capital. That’s how this industry works if you aren’t rich
