Before y'all get your feelings hurt - 6:5 was the only option on short notice for us to get recording permission on. Yes, 3:2 is better and so is having staying on soft 17!

Re: splitting 8s: the way it was explained to me is that 16 is the worst possible hand by a lot, so splitting gives you the chance to get two 18s, beating the dealer’s must-stand 17.
Or even a 2 or a 3 for a double-down

You always split aces and 8s. 8s is a defensive move because it’s easier to make a good hand off an 8 rather than a 16.

People do not understand that there are only 5 cards to make the had versus making a hand with an 8. Drives me crazy lol. I turned into one of the I swore I never wld be ha ha.

Hit soft 17 is also a poor table rule giving the house an extra 0.22% edge which long term hurts.
For your average bet level are you not tempted to sit out and avoid playing if an optimum table isn’t available?

you need to learn about the side bets. if you were betting $5 instead of $25 and you bet on both the 3 and the 20 at the same time, you would have thousands from all your shoes. you have had flushes and straights and straight flushes... OMG one shoe before you would have many thousands. read up on the payouts and go back and see you would be loaded..... or don't, it will just upset you.

Wow and I thought the 21+3 table I play on has bad payouts at 20 to 1 for trips 30 to one for straight flush online casinos offer 30 to one for trips 40 to one for straight flush plus a 100 to 1 for suited trips but jesus 9 to 1 for anything that's just so bad.

That's the payout when you get a blackjack. An example - on a $1K bet, if the player gets a blackjack - your payout is $1.2K. But on a 3:2 the same hand the payout is $1.5K

In your opinion, do you think the dealer change has something to do with the turnaround? I ask because someone can just say no because it’s the same shoe with no shuffle!
No, I don't think it has anything to do with it. It's a long shoe and the dealer can't affect the outcome of the hands.
I'm a dealer and dealer changes do absolutely nothing the casino doesn't do em because someone is doing well either they are usually preset break strings every x amount of minutes or all the dealers change every 20 mins while one dealer in the pit gets a break. The only time they randomly do dealer changes is if someone gets early out, every casino has a list you can sign to maybe go home early, or if they need the dealer for more advanced games like if I have baccarat and a dealer with only blackjack becomes homeless (their table closes) then they will most likely give the newbie dealer my bj table move me to baccarat and send whoever is next on baccarat for the eo list home

You never stay on Ace 6 as the player. That's a free hit. Some tables the dealer stays on soft 17s.

@@BunnyBenny no 6:5 blackjack is basically scamming yourself out of more than half your blackjack payout lets take a $100 bet for example 3:2 would pay you $150 on a bj while 6:5 would only pay you $120 on a bj no other difference

Your not a very good blackjack player or your not very smart your winning every other hand to push your money back and fourth, but then you up your bet taking from your push and losing. Your a lot better off cutting back your bet on your losing hands and uping your winning hand so that way your making money.
