Hey Rob, Thomas here! You did a very good lap for how little you've been to the track. It was great to be your teammate and I hope some time I can head up to Sheffield and do some racing there.
Leicester is fun but it's big flaw is that there's only one real overtaking spot - that slightly banked upstairs corner that chicanes back on itself into the downramp. Also their kart fleet left a lot to be desired until their recent replacement with the fleet from Birmingham. I have heard some things about Leicester member nights being dirty before, but I've never experienced it firsthand. I can however comment on Kart 10's driver - I've met them once as they came down to Dunstable for a 50 lap race. Whilst I can say they unfortunately ruined my race, they had every right to do so because they defended very well and I didn't want to make a dirty move. Not to mention the weight difference meant they pulled away the second I tapped their bumper. To their credit as well, they let me through about halfway through the race despite it being for position as they realised just how frustrated I was. Whilst I won't claim it as an overtake and I didn't gain any positions thereafter, it was appreciated nonetheless.
I feel more prepared for Leicester than I did Coventry last year, so I'm setting a (I think reasonable) aim of making it into the top 12, and therefore the grand final. Obviously I've raced again with the same driver and it's been a bit cleaner. I picked on them a little in this one as everything was happening near me! Makes better content 😂 New karts are sooo much better!
it's obvious you put a lot of work into these videos which is great but dude your delivery seems like you are compiling the worst habits of every british tv presenter to deliver at acting class... try to be a bit more yourself, dial down the woeful attempts at humour unless you've got a real corker to pop. viewers want to invest in a personality and absolutely none of yours is coming through in the way you are delivering the pieces to camera and voiceovers. all the best with your BIKC campaign and content creation, look forward to seeing this channel evolve -iain
Yeah, so I tried to do something a little different in this one and clearly some will like it, some won't. I know which boat you're in and that's more than OK with me. Thanks for the feedback though, seriously, it's always welcomed 👍 🙂

Thanks Thomas! I'm hoping to get a bit more seat time at Leicester too! 👍
@@RobGoesRacing Great to hear. I'd love to drive with you some time again
I really did get my payback the following week🤦🏽♀️ I just go for gaps and try make them stick, some better than others😅

@@RobGoesRacing good luck in finals then!
great video Rob, can I ask you how you got your cool lap time graphic, thanks
Here's a write up I did a while ago on it

Hate racing people like kart 10, I don't get why people race like that😕
Great video though Rob and best of luck at future events!
Cheers Nick, I've been back already and done a little better (racing wise, not time). Back again this week too for GP2 in their new karts 👍
@@RobGoesRacing New karts?
Might have to pop up myself after regionals to see what they are all about
@@Nicks_kartingI wouldn’t expect much they’re just Birmingham’s old ones
Them races are like cod lobbies just gotta dive in 🤣

oh and the goat-like chirpy 'cheers' is the most annoying thing on shmee's pretty annoying channel, don't copy it dude
