Marwari wedding follow to the ancient customs and traditions. Marwari wedding , celebrated with fun. The Engagement ritual of Piyush & Pragatee took place at Resort Borgos. Kaziranga, Assam on February 2015. It’s an fancy affair. The bride , dressed in Sari . And her jewellery also amazing. After the Pooja the golden moment of ring exchange took place. The night, filled with Fun. Laughter, Music, Dance and Enjoyment - Marwari Wedding Video Assam.
First of all Haldi , a ritual performed by the Groom and Bride before the wedding ceremony . Therefore the Bride and the Groom , ‘prepared‘ for the wedding by all their close relatives and friends. In addition Pure vegetable oils, Fresh milk curds, and Turmeric , made into a paste. And applied on the face and arms and feet of the Bride and Groom. By their close relatives.
The wedding ceremony of Assam is known as ‘Biya’. It’s a very colourful and very grand process. The Groom , majestic in a heavy off-white brocade . And Red Sherwani - long formal jacket with Nehru collar. In addition he wore a matching colour turban. He, accompanied by all his relatives with a band which played music also.
The Bride wore a embroidered gold worked Red lehenga and a beautifully worked Dupatta with which she covered her head .while Pragathee‘s walk-up wedding style , flawless too. She stepped out in a Parade of band. In addition Music and Dance which leads up to the Mandap. The Bride and Groom stood opposite each other and also exchanged garlands.
The Bride and the Groom sat in front of the fire. And the couples took vows amongst chanting mantras. And the Groom puts vermillion in Bride’s forehead. Friends and relatives blessed the newlywed couple. Piyush & Pragatee‘s families, a great fun-loving bunch.
Since it’s our first Assamese wedding. We had a wonderful experience also. Hence to us this assignment like shooting one never ending dance party.Hence, it’s a visual treat . In addition right from the moment we landed at the airport to the 2 action packed days of the shoot.
