Excellent video of the English Hotel. There are several other reviews on TH-cam but yours tops them all be a mile. Very informative. I love all the details you had to your videos. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. Much appreciated.
That hotel is beyond premium! You have outdone yourselves on this video once again. Your lifestyle and experiences are wonderful for us who just simply cannot picture ourselves in these beautiful locations. To think, a place that has something for your coins and rings, and little machine to charge your phone, right in the room! What a place! A patio bar on the street where you can "be seen", I am sure many people drove by and recognized both of you, enjoying the culinary pleasures offered by the restaurant which is named after the owners dog! What a great idea and great name! And to top it off you got some special beer, that is totally amazing along with the make-up bag and tote bag that you got, Paula! Living the dream is what you two are doing and people in this age group better take a lesson as to what the good life is all about! (we have never received a tote bag or any beer, for that matter for free!) Travel on! More videos please!
Thank you again for such a lovely note, and all the compliments! This visit to The English Hotel was very special, because we were invited by management, and thus really got the royal tour. This type of thing does not happen often (in truth, it only happened one other time, at the Plaza), so we are very very grateful! It allowed us to really make a good video out of this very unique hotel property.
This video is as well done if not better than the travel channels reviews of hotels in general. lm excited to stay there with my hubby, it will be a perfect 2 night part of our vacation.😊
Being compared to the Travel Channel is the very best compliment - thank you! If you do stay at The English Hotel, drop a line and let us know your impressions.
We LOVE to do that! You know us, if we can find an art piece or a garden spot anywhere, we are gonna put it in our video. :) So jazzed that both those guys were onsite at the time, and willing to be on camera.

Las Vegas has needed a place like this for a very long time! I have heard only great things about The Pepper Club! Awesome chefs. But the best thing is how nice all of the employees! And no resort fee like the vast majority of Vegas hotels. Definitely worth the price! Anyone of any age can eat at The Pepper Club, but only those over age 21 can stay overnight.
Yes, correct - the hotel itself is adults only. We agree, the employees are not the tired lot who've worked on the Strip for a million years - these are young and fresh people who are jazzed about what they are doing!

Really a superb video, as always! Thank you for the grand circle tour of the newest hotel in Las Vegas! It looks really interesting and we hope it does well as the Arts District continues to blow up and be a fantastic neighborhood! We can't wait to see its continued evolution in the months and years ahead. The artwork around the exterior of The English is really cool - the spray paint art is outstanding and so "downtown Vegas"! I've been waiting for this place to open. I live in Vegas and would love to book a getaway night there. I want to walk around the area during the day, have a nice dinner with cocktails! Won't be driving so don't have to worry about only having one! Wee!
Thanks for the inside look at The English. It looks like a great place to stay for those who want access to gaming and the other things Vegas is known for, but don't want to be staying right in the middle of it at one of the hotels on The Strip or downtown. Paula, great interview with the manager, Steve. Next up, you'll be doing a segment during one of the Las Vegas TV newscasts called "Lifestyles with Paula!"
LOL thanks Buster - I don't know where that interview came from, seriously. No prep, no talkover, no idea we were even gonna do an interview - and then boom, one take, there it was!
We really enjoyed being there - it's a world away from the Strip, hard to believe it's still Las Vegas. Just shows how diverse your adventures in Vegas can be!

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The Arts District is ever evolving of course. I’m guessing this property will only appeal to a sliver of those visiting Vegas. Dale/Paula - I DO like how you cover every facet of the City though - when I first moved there in 2008, as a creative - I was pleasantly surprised to find as much creative energy as I did. The Arts District was younger then and First Friday in it’s infancy (BTW - have you ever covered First Friday?) I always tell those (particularly those who are planning to LV their home) that it’s full of surprises and you can REALLY find almost any type of lifestyle you wish for!
I like what you said here - Las Vegas IS full of surprises, and there are so many cities and neighborhoods within this valley, you can find the spot that feels like home to you. We have only recently been spending a lot more time in the Arts District, but have not done First Friday; it's on the list. I'm glad you noticed that we don't concentrate solely on the resort corridor - there is a lot here to see, and we love showing things that folks might not otherwise know about. I cannot tell you how many visitors went to see the bighorn sheep at Hemenway Park in Boulder City, after we showed them to you a vlog - dozens!!
Love that Las Vegas set aside an Art District as the city reinvents itself and provides choices in alternative venues and atmosphere. Just as the Smith Center offered theater and music without the casino so it seems it is becoming with the Art District. Restaurants, cafes and art works that reflect that bohemian experience. I always wished I could combine Las Vegas with New York City and do either within walking distance. I like The English Hotel. On my list.
This is a terrific way to look at it! Yes, finally, after a lifelong absence of culture, Las Vegas is getting some - theater and art! We are here for it.
@@paulamckenzie I had a housemate that worked in the casino art galleries and got a little perspective on that high end business. Don't want to overlook the art exhibits either. That scene was a tad exclusive. Still the casinos a wonderful job sometimes open displays (gardens, architecture and classic recreations).
Hey there is a possible theme for a future podcast. The 'Art' scene in Las Vegas. Casino, Art District and the different perspectives, venues and history.
GOD BLESS YOU DALE, PAULA AND STEVE. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE MY FRIENDS. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. THE ART DISTRICT LOOKS AWESOME. 🙏
Great job! Awesome the artists were available. Adam is an excellent artist as well as DJ & music producer. The vehicle reminds me of the ones mailmen would use WAY back in the day. All The Best!!
As always great video AND music. And if possible smoother and more professional than ever. Great interview; you should do more of them. You said people are so nice to you but as I 've said before it's because they are responding to what great people you are (not a paid endorsement :P)
Thank you so much, you always seem to shower us with compliments! Dale is using a different service for the music this year - Epidemic Sound - and he is very happy with the selections. Now that interview, Ben: No talkover, no rehearsal, no discussion, one take, boom. Steve was a pro! As for me, not sure where that came from... :)
This was a wonderfujl review. I have recently been thinking about staying somewhere off the strip on my next visit and this looks like a wonderful place to stay. Thank you for showcasing this hotel.
Looks like such a great spot in the Arts District! I’m a gambler so probably won’t ever stay because of the comps from the casinos but I’ll 100% sure try that restaurant on one of my upcoming trips! Looks fantastic!
Another great video review! Staying at circa in April so will definitely be checking the pepper club out! Going to walk around the arts district as well. Fingers crossed we will run into y’all somewhere!
Another great review! Wow, love the artwork on the exteriors! Can't wait to check out the Pepper Club but will have to ask for the "PG" seating area. LOL
Yes, you do videos right and this one was a nice compliment for this new boutique hotel. It is lovely however I hate the showers in the rooms. The European shower door doesn't have many fans believe me we've had to pull them out of so many high-end apartment buildings and condos you would be surprised people hate them. Todd English? I'm from Boston so I'm very familiar with him, his cooking style and his restaurant. It's roast chicken is legendary. You will have a good meal there expensive but good. I like the pool area very nice. I know Las Vegas is really trying to do something big with this area downtown and I hope they succeed. I am sure the locals will frequent this new hotel along with the artsy crowd. Not surprised Marriott jumped in on this. Lovely but not for me. I still like all the casino hotels in Las Vegas and the ability to wake up in the middle of the night get down to the casino to see what's going on that's something I can't do at home. Thanks again always enjoy your videos.
Thanks so much for watching, and sharing your take on this. We can see what you mean about the shower design - certainly some cons to that. We too want the Arts District to continue to grow and succeed, and this boutique hotel is a great addition. It just goes to show, you can have all kinds of very diverse adventures in Las Vegas.
Well that certainly was a different hotel from what we are accustomed to seeing in Vegas. Quaint little place and very intriguing. What they classify as a suite is rather interesting, I think I have seen bathrooms the same size. Their bathrooms, while nicely decorated and furnished, can spell disaster with no doors on the showers. You never mentioned room rates which raised my suspicions so I went into their website to investigate and now I know why. Let's just say that this place is terribly overpriced for what it is offering. It will certainly attract a certain type of clientele and suffice to say I won't be part of it. Your presentation of this hotel was top notch. I love your new intro and it definitely adds class to an already classy channel. Thanks for all your efforts in this production and congrats for reaching 25K subs. With the hard word and outstanding videos that you present to us, no doubt you will double your audience in no time. Bring on the next one!
Well we mostly don't mention room rates unless we are doing a staycation, and we want to tell you what we paid. But yes, it is pricey. I do think there is a clientele who love boutique hotel options, and will gravitate to this one. It's going to appeal to fans of art and food for sure. :)
Always look forward to your videos!!

We are so glad you enjoyed this one - although I would suspect you'd like it, being the consummate foodie that you are :)
I cannot tell you how many visitors went to see the bighorn sheep at Hemenway Park in Boulder City, after we showed them to you a vlog - dozens!!
thanks for the great video
@@NomadicBrian try this, if you haven’t seen it…

@@NomadicBrian They sure do, and as locals we are so fortunate to have access to that!
wow! Wish us common folk would get some of the cool free swag :)
LOL well we pretty much made a 22 minute commercial for them, for free! I guess we earned the swag :)
Dale und Paula wie immer ein Klasse Bericht sehen euch so gerne einen schönen Sonntag wünschen Elisabeth und Max 👍
First comment this week! :)
Love the video! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Paula and Dale! Great urban local hotel. I drove right by it a few weeks back and wondered how it would look inside. Beautiful. CAB😍
We agree - perfect description! We hope the locals really help it thrive.
Really good video thanks
Great video!!
Great job! Awesome the artists were available. Adam is an excellent artist as well as DJ & music producer. The vehicle reminds me of the ones mailmen would use WAY back in the day. All The Best!!
Thanks for watching, and glad you liked it. We were SO jazzed that both of those guys were there, and agreed to be on camera!
It was a joy to spend time there - I think you could tell, we had a great day. Let us know if you do stay there, we'd be interested in what you think.
Looks like such a great spot in the Arts District! I’m a gambler so probably won’t ever stay because of the comps from the casinos but I’ll 100% sure try that restaurant on one of my upcoming trips! Looks fantastic!
Sure, make plans to spend one afternoon walking the Arts District and having a meal at The Pepper Club!
wow that was fabulos ty so much grets hotel
Thanks so much for watching :)
I would love to be a regular here, thanks to your review.
Interesting interview with the GM. I’m looking forward to trying the restaurant.
Another great video review! Staying at circa in April so will definitely be checking the pepper club out! Going to walk around the arts district as well. Fingers crossed we will run into y’all somewhere!
I love that you are going to do that! Please check back in afterwards, and let us know how your visit was!
Totally different vibe for Vegas.
Totally! This town is full of surprises; when you are in the Arts District, you would not even believe you're in Las Vegas.
Been waiting for this video since yesterday
Well we hope it was worth the wait!
Hey Jason! Beautiful work!
He is very talented, and such a nice guy!
Another great review! Wow, love the artwork on the exteriors! Can't wait to check out the Pepper Club but will have to ask for the "PG" seating area. LOL
LOL luckily there is a lot of good old G-rated seating - it's a big room!
The English Hotel has a very masculine vibe to it. It belongs in an art district. Something different.
