I miss tapes and CDs. These albums had a much longer shelf life. You really owned it and re-listened to it. Now with streaming all releases are so fleeting and forgotten in short time. I also miss the paper inserts. I'd sit and read about who wrote and produced the songs and often it would even have the lyrics.
In the future when all the hip kids will be using some new twisted way to save music, I'll be sure to show this to them. Going to be legendary, keep up the good work SRP.

I still have my infamous collection of mixtapes from friends and ex-crushes filled with great nostalgic songs, all carefully arranged for drama, romance and teenage rebellion 😂😂😂. PS: Shout out to all the desperate ones who also waited in front of their radios to record THAT ONE song almost vandalizing the room because THAT ONE song was cut off by a stupid advertisement for a local furniture store.... 🎉 🤯

Im only 17 but i swear im lucky and happy to have experienced vhs tapes and cassete tapes and old cds, they were just something else that really need to come back because they were way nostalgic and better
Oh yes please. This waa a complete joy from the first moment until the last. I had International Velvet on tape too. Underrated band, Catatonia. Pretty sure i recosgnised the WWF case as well. My little sister had that one. The waves of nostalgia here were so lovely. Brilliant stuff.

Funnily enough we never had music cassettes when I was a kid (born in 94) because my parents and us mostly owned CDs. But I had a bunch of cassettes with audiobooks on it. Up until I was 15 or so. I still remember having to fix them with a pencil when the tape got caught in the cassette player haha
I have a pile of cassettes myself, mostly comprised of Gordon Lightfoot. I’ve been a fan of his for years despite only being 17. Good music, and especially interesting technology.

I grew up with cassettes and cds, but to this day I still think vinyl is the best way to listen to music. Something about the sound of a record player just hits different. I have a ton of records and I've been told I have a few pretty rare ones too which is cool to know. Although I do love a good ol' fashioned mix tape ❤

They just reissued three ft high and rising on tape vinyl etc for the 30 years!!! Highly recommend grabbing 🔥 they reissued allllll the De La Soul discography!

Growing up cassettes were all we had. I still have few kicking around, including Da Lenchmobs "Guerrilas in the Mist" which I found in a old moving box like 6 months ago. Quite the album I must say, Ice Cube produced and featured on most of the tracks.
