I loved how they have the NYC skyscraper background on the sides of the big Tic-Tac-Toe board, much like the Davidson did when that version was taping their shows in NY!

@pacmannick The original series went to Las Vegas for its final season (1980-81), and the Davidson run also went to Hollywood, Florida.

In addition to a 3-D HS logo, both on screen and on the stage floor, the contestant and host areas were updated with darker wood trim and Tom's podium now has metal-looking pillars to fill in the gaps between the contestant podiums. Later this season, but definitely by fall 2001, a new version of "I Love Hollywood" debuted, along with a "teaser" question by one of the celebrities.

The teaser question and final version of the intro were there somewhere around the start of 2001.
The I Love Hollywood remix only showed up the next season.

and the backdrop behind Tom was now has a smoother, more glossier look with a light shade of purple with black borders.

This was at Hammerstein Ballroom which was home to the WWE-branded ECW Pay-Per-Views in 2005 and 2006.

I remember Tarek being one of the best champions on this version.

I’m a news tech like he used to be. He said in the tournament he quit his job and go out of debt after being on Hollywood Squares. And kept the Mercedes!!!!

Can't believe they didn't pick Tony and Vincent. I don't know how much more betrayal I can take.

Davidson HS also went to Paradise Island in Fall 1988. The Vegas run in 1980-81 was permanent until cancelled. This champion was a five time winner and won every tic tac toe game played in his five shows.
