- 2024 has unveiled a series of destructive storms in the WPAC in EPAC so far. Only 2 basins in the NHEM remain to be seen...one of them being the NIO. Will the North Indian Ocean Cyclone Season this year bring chaos to the surrounding coastlines? Will a similar story to 2023 occur? Will levels of activity be comparable to the WPAC? Only one way to find out, and that is to endure it.

Saying this is the most "normal" animation of the 2024 series feels so wrong but at the same time it isn't the most normal one because 2024 EPAC existed (I do not wanna talk about it)

Can I have the map you used for the 2024 hypothetical Atlantic video
For anyone wondering, WPAC doesn’t have damage/deaths bar because it’s too active
It only has a damage and death bar on individual storms and not all together
To be honest, the only reason kaani had 19k deaths was that it hit bangladesh (145m people) and that bangladesh had tons of deltas and its capital was placed near the river, allowing for a river overflow in a major storm. So basically i would shift a ton of those kaani deaths in kolkata towards bangladesh

It wont be for some time, but its likely just to be a Hurricane season animation to kick things off. Alternate animations will come later when we figure things out
If a storm cross over from the west pacific the imd always renamed that system
if it sustains TC status during the crossover, that isn’t the case. Prime example being Pabuk 2019

I refuse to believe Kaani only killed 236 people in Bangladesh like Bangladesh would experience MAJOR floods like a river overflow in Dhaka, also including the factor of bangladeshi poverty and crowdedness, the death rate would atleast be 2k+. But still, great animation as always!!

@@deidreevans7327 yes, but the country isnt very big, the powerful winds will strike the entire country. And with 145m people, a full evacuation is very unlikely.
