a single scene from this movie that Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) slays is worth the whole High School Musical franchise that Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) takes part in
No, it was funny but it has no soul. She's not feeling the lyrics. It's a song about love, not about glamour. Sharpay liked the attention, the show. She didn't care about music.
@@ngrp27she's feeling it like a show girl, it feels like she's singing about how much she loves music not how much she loves Troy and I honestly prefer it. And to say sharpay didnt care about the music is delusional she cared about music over everything else
@@ngrp27 It's just ironic how someone who supposedly doesn't care about music, is better at singing then all of the other characters. 💀 She may have no "soul" but at least she sounds better than everyone else lol
Todas las versiones de los Evans sobrepasaban jajaja desde musicalización, puesta en escena, desempeño, todo ... Pero nos damos cuenta años después jajajaja
His acting here is really what sold it. Especially with how young he was, this performance is impressive imo. It wouldn't have worked if he wasn't committed and had good timing
Because they are "entertaining." The orginal, the way it was written and meant to be sang is about the feeling in the song and Sharpay takes it out every time, probably because she can't usually connect to loving someone other than herself. Sharpay always speeds it up and makes it more entertaining to watch. She doesn't care about the meaning behind the lyrics - just the showmanship she can get out of it - which is why she always speeds up all the songs she's given. I think the only one she didn't because it was already partly sped up was Troy and Gabriella's duet in the third one, although she did dramatize Gabriella's part more than it originally was.
The great thing about HSM is that they took songs and give you various versions to really convey the relationships between the characters. The Troy and Gabriella version of this song is slow, romantic and makes you feel their connection as a couple. The Sharpay version is high energy to represent her high maintenance. She controls the song and really emphasises "ME ME ME ME ME".. She wants all the attention on her. She's beaming in the song and Troy is subdued.. Bringing attention to how their relationship is.
Let’s be honest, this version is a slay. Looking back now, I also find it hilarious comparing it to the uptempo version of What I’ve Been Looking For from the first movie. With that song, Ryan and Sharpay at least had the same melody and key as what Kelsi wrote but just upped the tempo. With this one, Sharpay totally goes rogue and it’s barely even the same song as what Kelsi wrote originally 😂😂😂
I love this!! I do love Troy and Gabriella's version a little bit better. The song suits Sharpay more because kelsi wrote it for the couple. Sharpay made this song more upbeat than emotional with the panio.
She was mean. It worried me that now people can't realize the values of a character like her. And dislike Gabriella who was a good person, not perfect but good. If you're not able to do that....

when i was a teen, i thought sharpay was the villain and has horrible music... but deym, im 32 now, sharpay was never the villain. Chad was the villain. not to mention Sharpay's versions is what keeping depression away.
I would love to hear this with Troy if he was prepared and actually into the song with Sharpay. Him being surprised does his part no justice. I wonder how much more this song would rock if Troy was prepared and ready to rock out with her. I prefer Zac and Vanessa's version, but will say that Ashley's is more entertaining, but the first version is better, mainly because Zac harmonizes with Vanessa really well, Ashley and Zac aren't harmonizing.
This is a very good song. It reminds all of us that we all are blessing in God's Eyes. It is the truth. It is al. l of us. To Him be the glory. Thanks, Disney.
I simply cannot fathom how or why anybody would consider this version of the song to be better than the original version! The original version as sung by Kelsie, Gabriella and Troy is easy on the ears, has a good melody and rhythm that you can easily bob your head along to! This version on the other hand, is overly loud and obnoxiously forced with an unnecessary amount of special effects that’s just grating on my ears!!!!
I would think Sharpay didn't just want Troy to be on the show with her. She wanted him for herself, because she was jealous of him spending more time with Gabriella than he ever spent time with her. What really taunts me is that Sharpay has a selfish side that makes her controlling on one person and trying to keep others away. She may think she's cool, but that kind of action is NOT being cool at all. It's just being psychotic. And the fact that she forced Kelsi into changing the song for him and Gabriella to only be for him and her, I would think that’s plagiarizing.
I love how terrified he looks dealing with Sharpay’s idea of a low key performance
Same I find it hilarious 😂 😂

L love how troy is scared but trying to vibe with her that shows a lot of commitment
lets be real, Sharpay slayed harder in this one song then troy did the whole franchise

100% better version. You can say about Sharpay what you want, but she has the best vocal in HSM movies.

I really love the pop version of Sharpay for this song, it looks much fun. Even though Troy looks so thrilled and terrified lol.

They always shit on past roles after they make it big id be owning this shit and having fun
when did he say that? from the interviews i've seen of him talking about HSM he talks about it positively
It’s a movie geared towards kids so i think when you switch to PG/R rated movies you tend to think those kids movies were watered down crap
@lunarialoonaticyeah, they didn’t handle his character’s inner struggle well…
troy being an unwilling participant is top tier comedy
