- u know u wanna dance; don't fight the feeling!
Made by Becky Qilavvaq - www.inukness.com
Starring Anguti Johnston - www.qanukiaq.com
Song 1: Intergalactic Planetary - Beastie Boys
Song 2: Sail - AWOLNation
Song 3: A tune by Simeonie Keenainak of Pangnirtung, Nunavut
This needs to be the official tourism video of Iqaluit! Love it! :]
This is arguably the best thing I have ever watched.
We call that kinda music "Kalattuut" in Greenland. It means something like "Basic Greenlandic music." Damn good to see and hear our cousins in the west doing the same.
Somehow, Google and Wikipedia didn't mention any of this on my first attempt at research.
Most I discovered was a seal burger recipe. But since seal meat is illegal in Florida, I substituted by mixing ground beef and ground lamb, then adding seaweed salad. Added some beet juice and purple food coloring dye to get the meat to look more like seal.
Result was way too high in fat for an American with no gallbladder. Next time, I'll just mix seaweed salad with ground bison.
Seal burgers are genuinely delicious though. Thyme and blueberries make for a great dish too. I might use feta rather than garlic goat cheese next time though.
My 2 years old granddaughter loves watching this video we watch it just about everyday and dance inuktitut🤗💃💖
aw, iniquna. too cute
So glad I finally re found this been searching trying to find it like mad. It used to be titled A Typical Day In Canada.
I’ll l

What a good way to fight winter depression...should have done that while I still resided in Chicago...
Clearly, the world needs more of you. I want to go somewhere in Canada now.

It's so great to see that accordion tunes are so popular among the fellow Inuit!! I am just about to make a 2 CD compilation of best Newfoundland tunes, compiled from dozens of CD's i collected over the years! Labrador tunes CD is already done! :)
This guys got talent. Needs to be on a tv commercial TODAY! And guest star on SNL and Ellen. I absolutely LOVED it!!!!!!
@tabotier - you're the first to ask about the bones.. after 170,000 views netwide... well, believe it or not those are from the JAW of a Bowhead whale. Not the ribs. :) ... it was our first bowhead hunt in our community in over a hundred years.
I come from canada this is 100% accurate
Definitely a fun video from the True North - from one of my favourite places on earth.....a shout out to Canada from your British relations!
I love your video. You just made my day. Thanks for having made this beautiful little piece of joy. Cheers from Southern Ontario.
I absolutely love this video! My favorite scene is where is is still trying to dance on the ice in that strong wind. Hysterical!!!
Makes me want to dance , Love your happy energy .
Are ye newfie! I am and that is a big song home. My great grand father is inuit. Nice to see there is other parts of Canada with a since of humour lol
@craiclord - hehe.. I can handle it. Might be a good chance to share the Inuk voice on hunting issues. I'm no stranger to being in the hot seat.. been in "politics"/social policy/activism for 10 years.. on top of my fun, art stuff.. we do have common ground with those guys anyway, believe it or not. Inuit have been against animal cruelty for over 4,000 years, it's our way, part of our core value system.
very well done, put a big smile on my face for sure. Thanks for sharing. PS. enjoyed the great foot work.
Im from Greenland and i think this is a great .........
