Pete is such a solid dude. If you've been paying attention over the years, you'll notice how much he recognizes his colleagues and shows respect. He always gives others time to talk and never puts down other guitarists or even products, he always tends to find the positive in things. Good traits to follow.
So psyched that Tim and Pete caught up with one of my Favorite guitar players!!!!!!! OMG I love Lari. The Brazilian Guitar world is just amazing. My two favorite players these days are Lari and Mateus! Really sweet!!!!!

Lari might be my favorite guitarist right now. It's hard to remember the last time I've been so blown away by someone's phrasing. She is easily one of the best guitarists on the planet right now.
I don't know what's going on with Brazil lately, but I think they surely found a new source of talents...
Here in Brazil, we don't have job anymore. All we have it's just hope and love in our hearts. So... Some of us have time and money (most don't have money neither for pay taxes) to try anything in other countries. Our musicians leave our country with this feeling and with desire to be anyone in anyplace, and they do the best they can. In really, we need your help (of all world) to be anyone in anyplace. We just need a fair place in the world.

Thiago is right!! we really need other eyes for our musicians.. they are amazing but our country situation is precary!!! This guy (Diego) is just a sucker rich boy that have money and never see the reality of brazilian periphery and the good musicians in difficulty
Not just lately, really. Brazil has a long tradition of great musicians in practically every genre, I think it's just because of globalization and the situation mentioned above that we get to listen to them more frequently now

Lari is the next "Satriani" in my opinion - that is if you have to classify an artist. Awesome sense of melody and harmony when to play fast and when to back up and serve the song - striving for that perfect balance. She's freaking amazing. So inspiring to listen too. Love :). I had goosebumps.

Lari knows how to shred, but contrary to many new players, she also knows when not to shred and when not to play...
It's not about the notes she plays but about the notes she could have played but hasn't played! There's a lot to learn from her here!

Phil Smith, that's the difference between a good guitarist and a great guitarist. Sometimes the silence between notes is as critical as the notes themselves. Too many guitarists " over play", cluttering up a song.
@@ovationsensation Mature way beyond her years. She uses her considerable technical knowledge to serve the music, not herself...puts her on a much higher level. Love her playing!
A lot of guys can really play the guitar. She knows how to play but she also knows how to make music. For me, that's the difference and definitively one of my current favorite guitar players by miles!
Whether it's the Tim and Pete's guitar show or your own demo videos, I gotta say, I learn just as much from watching you play as I do listening to you speak and describe different things. How different rhythm parts come together, how to improvise a solo/lead part that comes through clearly but isn't overbearing, and even how to mix and balance it all. Thanks for taking the time Pete (and Tim too of course!) to put these videos together! Please keep all of it coming! :D

So incredible to hear her story too! I went the other way and sadly dropped my playing many years back and ended up a lawyer (also in LA!), tho at least in the music biz. The amazing guitarists out of Brazil have inspired me to pick up my guitars a bit more lately. Thanks Lari !!!!!
