I want Hugh Grant to come in the third one and just have a fight with Mark. Like he won't even need a reason to be there, just for a fight. I need this.
@Summer's Day: [ spoiler ]He isn't in the 3rd film, it is presumed he died in a plane crash and there is a memorial service for him at the beginning of the movie [ A newspaper reports him alive as the movie comes to a close and had been sleeping rough in the wreckage of the plane]. Patrick Dempsey takes his place as another suitor for Jones' affections and there is a spat between him and Colin as Mark but unlike Cleaver, Mark likes Jack [ Patrick's character] nonetheless, Bridget chooses the right man in the end, the one she always loved regardless.

The fight scenes between Daniel Cleaver & Mark Darcy in both the first and second film are classic. Daniel's proven to be the wrong guy for Bridget for two reasons one he lied and cheated not once but twice. Two when she got in trouble at the airport instead of staying to help her out he left. Mark on the other hand did everything in his power to get her released from jail and loves her for the woman she is.
Yeah I know but why does he act embrassed by bridget jones she is the best thing that ever happened to him cause in bridget jones baby he is sad and depressed without like he said she is his world
I love bridget but at the same time she was borderline creepy. Am i the only one who doesnt want to wake up to someone staring intently at me? Its just weird. Trust me if it happens to you you would understand. Its just weird. Im glad you like me but dont stare at me all the time. It makes me and any other sane person uncomfortable and i thought i was a nut. This all occurs at the beginning of the movie for those of you who dont know what im referencing
@@angierocio8852 in the books she was inlove with Mark but regardless he still didn't cheat on her... unlike some people **cough cough** Daniel **cough cough**
It's funny how in both movies' fights, whenever they seem to have come to a truce and the fight is ending, Daniel would add a sassy remark that provokes Mark to attack him again (in the first one, he mutters "Wanker" after Mark started walking away). Lol he had it coming.
GalahaD 1347 couldn’t agree more that’s why I love it so much, because in real life when two ordinary(who are don’t work out and grown adults) men fight its like in the movies where one of them gives a good punch and the other gives a good kick that’s just in the movies, in real life if two adult men fight this exactly how it would go and exactly how it would look like
Both of my guys having a fight scene this is classic and by far one of the best fight scenes ever omg love it Love Colin and Hugh, together they make a great scene In the process of filming this Colin kept hurting Hugh haha lolz Love the scene when he says what you going to drowned me in 16 inches of water ? 'Yes' haha lolz
I'm a little sad that Hugh Grant won't be in the third one. You can't have a Bridge Jones movie without Mark and Daniel arguing or fighting at least once!
Daniel Cleaver: [while fighting] You're insane! Mark Darcy: And you're a disgrace, Cleaver, and you're gonna pay for it! Daniel Cleaver: Ow, you're pulling my hair! Fuck off, I'm not going in the sodding water! Mark Darcy: You're going in, Cleaver! Daniel Cleaver: If I'm going in, you're going in with me, you smug bastard! [they fall into the fountain]
Considering they were mates in college and their lives keep bringing them together, I think it'd be awesome that at some point they got to be friends again. Like, when they're really old of something, and they go playing cards and laugh about those years when they tried to kill each other every time they met
@Keziah Jade: It's more of a slanging match, than an actual fight like this. Probably because Cleaver is a rakish playboy and deserves it, and Jack is a decent person and totally different.
Apparently Colin had a bad back when he did this scene, Cleaver deserves it and Mark is just trying to protect his woman like he has been since they were kids-Cleaver just abandoned her after seeing her get arrested and totally left and went back to England, leaving it up to Shazza to get Mark to help her as she knew that Mark whilst not only a human rights lawyer and it would be his job, but also because Shazza knew that Mark still loved her and would rescue and come to her aid at any time.
On a behind the scenes documentary about the movie, the director let them improvise much of the fight but had one demand: make it look as silly and ridiculous as you can! LMAO!! They did a brilliant job!
Mark fighting Daniel after learning he left Bridget get arrested (which to be fair was an ass thing to do) is the best thing ever it shows that he truly loves Bridget no matter what even though he doesn’t show it much and that he wants to make Daniel suffer for all the hurt and pain he put Bridget through and Daniel deserves it Also this fight is hilarious 😂 “So what are you going to do now? Drown me within 16 inches of water?” “….yes” 😂😂
@Leandro Correa dos Santos: its called " I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and its sung by The Darkness a 00's Glam Rock style band, the song was released in September 2003.

"what are you going to do now? drown me in 16-inches of water?"
"yes, good idea!"
Colin Firth has gained considerable fighting skills in 10 years lol.
Thanks to the Kingsman!
I still think this is his most amazing fight scene ever.
@@PaperbackWizard kingsman was better but this wasn't bad

he died😒
Actually he didn't Emily Harrower

Darcy: "This, madam, is a faithful narrative of all my dealings with Mr. Wickham."
The camera man turning 180 degrees to capture Mark's reaction to Daniel's last comment is an underrated piece of comedic gold
Those low shin kicks give me life
Bruce Lee would approved those kicks lol,
KICKS!!!!🤣😅😆😁😂
Most realistic fight ever
