I think part of why he doesnt release this (maybe yet), is that people have so high expectations for this one and always flip the fuck out whenever he mentions it, and he genuinely thinks it's not as good as it could be, must be frustrating. was kinda sad almost to not see him vibe along the music at all when he played it, i feel like if people give him some time and not push it as much we might get one amazing af release for this one some day, i sure hope so :)
The problem is that Fox stevenson is so amazing that everything he does is a masterpiece for the listeners even without pretending it

He said the reason for this not being released is that «it takes too long to get there» and I agree, the intro goes on for too long, but the overall consept and the melody is absolutely legendary. That melody has been used in his unreleased stuff for years.
Sunk Cost Fallacy Definition: When you're like "I've come so far already, might aswell just finish", or "I've spent so much already, no point in stopping now".

It's music like this that really makes me appreciate how beautiful EDM can be
The problem is our attachment to it. We keep asking for it, so he feels like we only want the version we've heard over and over. Therefore he feels like he can't change it (which he wants to), resulting in him abandoning it.
First time i listen to this live (in pizza party), it was a really magic moment

Nah unfortunately not, as I’ve mentioned in a couple other comments, these vocals are over a year old, and Stan has since said that it’s definitely dead
