Great video. I do have a minor issue. I did all the steps correctly, but I am unable to see the preview in OBS. I went live on Twitch earlier and didn't see the songs on there either. Do I have to create a source in OBS to view the Serato Playing overlay?
Your vid was the easiest to understand the process of installing & starting the program. My concern is that I followed all the steps, got the install to show on my laptop, which I was totally stoked about but a few songs into my stream my viewers (for some reason) could not see the song playing on their phones/laptops.
Loved the video and very easy to understand. However, on my instance I have the issue of when I am streaming and I am cueing up the next track, the now playing info is changing it as soon as I cue up the next song before I have even started to play it. What am I doing incorrectly?
i come from a time when djs would cover the labels on their records so other djs or wannabes couldnt find out what it was they were playing and there was no mobile phones either so no shazam.Recently mixcloud decided all by itself to list the tracks of a mix i posted.Normally it has a space that you fill .I normally just put the title of the mix and then the word various where it says artists.Im not sure why mixcloud decided without my permission to list the tracks on this mix but they did it anyway but there were a number that remained and still remain unknown.I used to list my tracks but it takes a long time especially when the mix is long and there are lots of tracks and maybe samples too and there is other info too to put up when you post .These days as youtube and others block, mute, strike etc i feel less inclined to make that job easier for them so when i do shorter mashups i try and layer stuff together tightly. One mix i did had bout four tunes in a three ish minute mix thats tightly packed in an attempt to fuck with their algorithms add samples and key changes as well as pitch and it takes the machines longer to find out what i am up too.So im not going to use this feature. The fun is in trying to work out what the dj is playing.I would hear something a dj would play at a club then i would spend some time trying to find it if it caught my ear.It got me off my behind and outside.Ok im going to stop there as im turning into my mother but you get the picture i hope.
I too come from the era when DJs kept their killer tracks to themselves. Part of the joy back then was stumbling across a track you heard another DJ played that you LOVED after sometimes months or even years of searching! As far as Mixcloud tagging the tracks automatically, I believe it has to do with the system they now have in place to pay the artists/labels that own the music. If it detects a song in your mix, it will tag it and also compensate the artist/label accordingly.

I’m having the same problem and I emailed them about that and they said there is a problem on the web site and they will fix soon.
