  • A cordless powerfile is a very versatile tool as creative woodworker Jeremy Broun demonstrates the Ryobi R18PF 18 volt File Sander.

    Wonderful, Demo! Very much enjoyed it and learned about ALL the reasons that I WANT ONE, but no reasons as to why I NEED ONE!? So, will of course, buy one right off for my Ryobi tool collection!

      Having no reason to buy a desirable tool is good a reason as any as you will soon find uses for it!

    I love the 18V One Plus system. Great value for the money, especially for the general around-the-house DIY consumer. I keep adding tools as I need them. Let's see, so far have a leaf blower, string trimmer, fan, and the newest addition, the P508 brushless 7-1/4 inch circular saw (I'm in love with that one especially). Here in the US at least it pays to keep an eye out for 'Ryobi Days', when you can get great deals on bundles (the P508 normally sells for $100 alone - but got the saw, two 3Ah batteries, a charger, and a soft case for $99 shipped).

      Yes the difference between you and me is you keep adding Ryobi tools when you need them and I keep adding tools when I don't need them! I don't know why for a time the Ryobi One system got very bad reviews in the USA, maybe because of the early batteries. The brushless circular saw I was tempted to buy but Ive already got several mini circular saws but I bet that one is quite powerful. Power tools spoil woodworkers today more than at any other time!

    Nice review and nice product especially utilizing the interchangeable Robi power tool batteries. I'm on my second Black & Decker power file -I couldn't get by without it. So, so useful

    Thanks very much Jeremy I enjoyed your overview and your music very much; is that a home made plywood guitar? It looks and sounds gorgeous! :o)

      I wouldn't say the guitar is home made but hand made. It is guitar number 21 of mine and I have sold some od my guitars.

    Great review. Please remove the battery before working on the belt. Better to be safe.

      You must be joking!" The switch is a safety switch so its impossible for it to accidentally switch on.

    Hello to you and thank for the review. What happen if you put the belt in the wrong direction (arrow) ???

    • @arva1kes
      @arva1kes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      On overlapping belts if you run in in revers it might catch the edge and rip the belt in half. I guess there is some work going on here also to prevent the belt from splitting in half. or it migt be that sandpaper backing is universal and as arrows.

    Looks a useful tool. As much as it would be easy to make home made belts I have a feeling they may not last compared to shop bought . Can you buy new belts
    Great video too sir

    • @WoodomainJeremyBroun
      @WoodomainJeremyBroun  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you watch the video you will understand why I will make up my own belts. The new abrasives technology is better than AO and 40 grit is more efficient for cutting into wood and 40 grit is not an available standard belt. It is perfectly easy to make up belts as the video shows they are taped together and can be cut with a sharp stanley knife.

      @@WoodomainJeremyBroun Could I ask if you’ve had much success making you own belts? I was thinking of buying one of these tools to add to my sharpening set up but would like to use higher grit belts.
