Although you don’t use it, Tenacity is effective on crabgrass in my centipede lawn. It’s slow and takes a few weeks but doesn’t harm the lawn. I mix it with change up so I can spray poison ivy and others all at once.
It's terrible. Sometimes I just spot treated with glyphosate or hand pull it. Multiple apps of Blindside can have some effectiveness. I wouldn't take on a customer with a lot of it
Virginia button weed is something I am fighting right now. My lawn is bordered on 2 sides by my neighbors horse pasture and that button weed is aggravating! I hand pull and stuff it in a trash bag from time to time. Is there a selective herbicide that is effective for it?
Quinclorac is fantastic in warm season lawns and is very effective. I use Tenacity on my cool seasons though. Just note, do NOT use Tenacity on warm seasons. You will cause turf injury. Great video and do that beard, Jason!
It's probably worth it to note that Quinclorac only really works when the Crabgrass is Mature or in very early stages. Always hear people saying things like.."I've been spraying it all Summer and it won't die".. It says right on the label it's most effective in our cool season grass up here in MA after August 15th.
You make a good point. I have noticed that sometimes it works great, while other times, not nearly as well. It probably has a lot to do with the time of the year
@@lawncarelife Definitely. I've completely stopped treating crabgrass mid June through early August. Waste of my time and chemical. During July I find after treating it will start to purple out and then 2 weeks later it bounces right back stronger than before.
What can you use on st. Augustine grass
Solitare! I asked you about that a couple days ago. My personal favorite on my yard in central AL.
Sorry, I don't get to all of the comments. I can't remember if I replied or not
New driveway turned out nice.
Thank you
Please I need level my yard video ...

Good to know
Any idea what to use in bahia lawn to kill crabgrass? Just had bahia sod put down and it has a ton of crabgrass.
That was a crazy fast kill, I use Tenacity on my centipede to kill off crabgrass. 👍
Thanks, I've tried everything , hopefully this will work.
I use DRIVE XLR8 with Dyne Amic surfactant on my northern tall fescue with excellent results
When you’re Spot spraying, are you carrying a mix in a tank to fill backpacks To avoid having to remix backpacks/handheld all day?
What do you use for broomsedge? I haven’t seen any videos on what you use for broomsedge
It's terrible. Sometimes I just spot treated with glyphosate or hand pull it. Multiple apps of Blindside can have some effectiveness. I wouldn't take on a customer with a lot of it
Get your soil tested, broomsedge likes soil that's in bad shape. You'll most likely need to add lime to your soil.

I use changeup or Blind Side. They work great but they don't kill it completely

It’s Bermuda grass you need to watch out with tenacity. I and others use it on centipede without harming the lawn.
What do you recommend to kill an entire lawn to start over? Thanks for all the great tips
Just a non selective herbicide like glyphosate or whatever is your choice. Make sure to follow the label
Curious what you would use if. the yard was full of crab grass?
Fire
What do you recommend to work centipede out of a yard.
It's tough sometimes. There are a lot of products that will beat up centipede but not really kill it. Msma will probably kill it but it is not illegal

Do you know of a good product that can be used on St.Augustine grass?
Celsius can work but probably will take more than one application
@@lawncarelife Sorry, does that mean that Solitare cannot be applied St Aug grass?
@@oliver.79 St. Augustine isn't listed as safe to use
Thank you!
I used vinegar and a little bit of dawn dish soap as a binder, and my crabgrass was dead the following day
I've never seen a blade of grass so blue and green it's blue green grass
