These are not a bad car, we had one for a while. Just make sure you get a good 12 month warranty. Main issues are the dual clutch. This is a manual gearbox with an automatic dual clutch. Make sure it's had the updated clutch, as there were a lot of problems with the early ones. Another thing to look out for is the heated windscreen. It's very common for one side to fail. It's also pretty juicy as well, you'll only get around 35 mpg around town, maybe 50mpg on a long run. They have a good load carrying capacity though. We swapped ours for a Toyota Yaris, far more reliable.
The next B-max should maybe have the new Kuga/Edge styling along with the no b-pillar sliding door design, it would probably sell better and be more attractive
I was looking at this model Auto 2015 & then checked & the automatics have problem with plates getting contaminated causing juddering after 20 miles or so. loads complaints & Ford know but take ages to fix Why did they change the auto box?? My old Mondeo auto fantastic car.
@@pgreg8528 Ha! Missed that reply, thanks! I think I was more asking what's the current equivalent? Those folding seats, including the front over, are an incredible piece of design But I if the current fords don't have this kind of practicable design, what's the point of the replacement?. Just sounds like style over practicality
My parents own a B-Max, it's the most bizarre car they ever owned and I have driven so far. Too bad the EcoBoost is boring as hell, it isn't as rev happy as the Duratec/Zetec engines were, definitely more fuel efficient though! That and the B-Max itself is really sporty for a MPV.
This car is being dropped by ford at the end of the year , that's one of the reasons I didn't buy one , the other reason is it has the worst autobox ever.
i have had one since 2013, never any issues just usual wear and tear. Great car
had mine since new 2014 and its fantastic never had a problem,, recommended car
Do you have the 1.0 litre ecoboost
@@yowhaatsup I had an ecoboost!

Enjoyed the presenter's refined Scouse accent and also the scenery that looked like West Lancs.
I have a blue 2013 1.6 tdci b max, I love it, it's been really reliable, i would never buy a car with a eco boom engine

We think you could really be on to something there ;). Cool name too ShroomWalrus :')
Sadly there won't be a new B Max based on the new Fiesta Mk 8.:-(
There is a market for a 5 seat car with 3 rear seats (that can take car seats), but the only thing is the c4 picasso

OK, I dread the answer but what do people consider an equal to the B-Max but with style thrown in as well?
Tough question. Maybe... vauxhall Meriva? I dunno.

are the seat belts more or less easy to pull than normal seat belts?
I'd say it's pretty hard
Same as in a normal car (Fiesta, etc.).
i have this car and its just the same not really a difference
FACELIFTED FIAT QUBO AND FIAT DOBLO NEXT PLEASE!!!!!
What’s the point in a 1 litre engine that only does 25mpg? Not being snotty, new driver, genuine question
I'm getting 40 mpg from my 1 litre 125bhp version. It's a brilliant motor! On my second one.
Iam getting a 1.0 ecoboost c max hope its good

Why is a 5 seater considered a people mover?
Cos it moves people?
Awesome video
The Ford B-Max is seriously uncool.
Ford b-max 2019

I've had two b max car's both automatic both gearbox issues. Won't be buying a third.
Had issue with cmax auto gearbox. After 3rd ford never again looking at something more reliable a Skoda!
