Donut was fantastic, Evie - what a performance, and how stunning he looks. How you coped with moving home & horses (with all the stress that involves & all the cleaning !!!) - then to do Donut's first Novice - wow🎉 Donut's dressage showed great improvement and promise. A few pesky poles in the showjumping, but Donut did some absolute fliers over other fences. Words fail me for the cross-country 🥳🥳 Those jumps were huge with some impossible looking angles. I noticed how versatile and adjustable Donut has become. You have done an awesome job with Donut, Evie, truly impressive. I did have to smile - with you saying how huge the cross-country jumps were during your course-walk. When you were approaching the hedge, for a split second, I thought "they cant have included a freekin car to jump as well !!!" - it was the briefest of moments until you brought me back to reality, that the car was temporarily in front of the hedge 😂😂 - my age🫣. Congratulations for qualifying for Badminton - well done🎉. You both so deserve this. So lovely to see your Mum & to hear her cheering you on. Much love to Team Evie. Your vlogs brighten my day🤗

What a legend Donut is!! That was a beefy course for first novice. Dressage was lovely and the show jumping just looked like he was a bit onward bound and just clipped a few poles. But my god he’s a machine on the xc!! You’ll be stepping up to intermediate by the end of next season 🙌🏼

Wow, Donut looked stunning on the dressage, his coat was gleaming!!
Shame about the poles down in the showjumping, but that cross country!!!! He utterly ate that course up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! He's a bit of a beast!!! 🧡 🧡 🧡

That dressage was LOVELY! To pull out a leg yield and a walk-canter to that standard at his first novice was so cool. And he made that really mean xc look like NOTHING. He is so so special 😭

I thought Maggie was my firm favourite but Donut has stolen my heart very slowly and quietly, he is just so smart and has so much talent. You are very lucky to have two cracking horses for next season, keep up all your hard work and the vlogs!

Great job! Those cross country fences were HUGE! I could handle the 1.10/1.15m show jumping- at least I could six years ago before I had to take a riding hiatus due to my mom’s health decline. But the cross country jumps? No thanks! Especially that one MASSIVE hedge; you couldn’t PAY me to jump that! 😳 But you and Donut made it all look so easy. Congrats to you and Donut! ❤

Oh, wow, WOW! That course looked very beafy on your course walk but the two of you then made it look easy. Donut flew around and talking of scope - that hedge was huge and he basically jumped it full height, didn't he? Amazing. He seems to have so much potential and just so, so much fun! You're doing such a wonderful job with him.
